I was informed there was a matter to do with my TFN and there was an arrest warrant in my name. I googled Leg Dep Service Australia. There is no Australian Government agency named the 'Department of Legal Services'. The Australian Taxation Office is responsible for Tax File Numbers. They will never send unsolicited, pre-recorded messages to your phone. To confirm whether an interaction is genuine, you can call the ATO on 1800 008 540. - do not answer to not respond

Had that call too about ATO about to get a warrant for my arrest. Funny thing is ATO don't send warrants for anyone's arrest here in Australia if you haven't paid your taxes. In the USA maybe. Here you would get to be presented in court to discuss your case. While I am all set right with the ATO now, I have been in behind with putting in my tax return for almost 10 years. And I ran a business besides doing a day job. Tax office bypassed me having to put in a Tax return for those years and calculated my taxable income based on info they had. I lost moneys of course where I could do some claims. But they never filed a warrant against me. It's fake. Just laugh at it.

Same person just called me , how can they keep on calling !!!

This caller is a SCAM caller. Claiming that I need to avoid going to court and being arrested for tax purposes.

Said to press 1 to talk about my legal matter with services australia. I got the same call yesterday but from a different number I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognise

TAX SCAM - Tells you your tax number is suspended and before you get arrested - press 1.

Getting so sick of these jerks.

They should be the ones being arrested for trying the scam and annoying me.

Rang and said there was an issue with my TFN and that there would be an arrest warrent out for me and that I would need to go to court. I spoke to a woman who hung up pretty quickly when I asked what it was all about.

tax scam, they said they're from TIN department asking for money. please report/ block the number

THis time they said they were with Informed Group Australia with some survey questions.

I spoke to an Indian guy for 5 minutes, said he was calling from Informed Australia, taking a survey about COVID impacts here. Roughly 10 questions, trying to acquire the value of my property and my knowledge on the property value in the near future whether it's going up or down. Knew my full name and post code which is disgusting. I think I kinda f***ed up by answering, probably got put on a "Do call they answer" list... Hate this BS.
