Caller: Some Dumb Person, Obvious Call Centre

Called 23rd May no voice message left, but considering the other posts.... Yes, it showed it was from Coffs Hbr (I.P. Phone no computer based)
Again today 24th, I answered for fun!! The background call/spam/scam centre noise was deafening!!!
The bored voice reading from paper/screen cue was Intelligible, & Laughable!!
After 4secs of listening (I know a Millennium!!🤣) I told her to F.. Off!!
My Missus said a poor person in the Philippines!!
Not My Problem!!, I'm Not The Social Barometer of The Planet!!
Besides, they just voted a Marcos (Son) back in!!
Those turds stole 100's Millions from the Country!!

Caller: Amazon

Call came from Coffs and I live in Coffs so was curious. Pick up got a robotic voice telling me Amazon prime charge.

Spoke to the guy from India. Told him jokingly that he called “the Australian federal police and someone was coming to raid the call centre” he said “don’t use slang” (because obviously in their minimal English training they learnt just enough to scam aus, UK, US and Canada)

They are most likely in kalkatta India or in their new location in hitec city. I know this from scammer payback on YouTube.

If you get this call please ask if they know perogi from scammer payback or kitboga or Jim browning!

Hear their reactions change once you mention them!

Caller: Says they are Amazon Prime

Call about renewing subscription press 1 to cancel blah blah. I don't have Amazon Prime, last time I spoke to someone and they tried to say Amazon Online maybe, don't have that either - that time they hung up. This time I hung up and blocked the number. Oxygen thieves not worth a second of my time!

Coffs Harbour call allegedly. Automated female voice, claiming to be from VISA. Querying two purchases on my credit card. $400 on eBay and another $1300. Press button to cancel purchases. I just hung up and blocked.

Had to block the number. Just keep ringing every minute 5 times in a row. Coffs Harbour. They left no messages. Time wasters should be jailed. I don't have time for this rubbish.

Caller: Scammer claiming to be "Telstra Technical Support"

Scam call. Number identified as based on Coffs Harbour. Indian man on phone claiming to be "Telstra Technical Support," regarding my Internet and that they a have received a lot of fault warnings from my connection and they're calling to help fix it.

1. I used to work as technical support at a big named ISP - that's not how technical support works at all.

2. My service wasn't with Telstra, nor does it utilise any part of a Telstra network.

This is a scam call. I simply told him they were lying when he said he could see a fault, and I hung up. As I went to hang up, I could hear him repeating, "yes we can, yes we can" desperately trying to convince me. Nope, sorry mate, you gotta try harder than that.

If you receive a call form this number, ignore it. Better yet, proactively block it so they can't even call you to begin with. Rubbish scammers.

Called my mobile twice saying from Visa and I had two fraudulent amounts on my card and that I should press 1 for some or 2 for some other thing - I stopped listening at that point. Yes call was supposedly from Coffs Harbour. I did check my cards to make sure but yes obviously a scam yet again. I blocked call but it seems they have ways of getting around that too.

Caller asked for me by my abbreviated first name, when I said 'speaking' they hung up. I googled the number and saw it was used by multiple scams - now blocked.

Call received from (02) 5633 9770.on 23 May 2022, at 2:32 pm. Mobile said that the call was from 'Coffs Harbour'.

I answered the call and asked, "How can I help you?". There was no response. I then asked again. No response. I heard a male voice speaking in the background. They ended the call.

I looked the number online and it appears to be a scam. I will not return the call. If it was important (and legitimate) they would return the call and if I could not take it then they would leave a message.
