Live call from someone with sub-continent accent. Claimed to be calling from the NBN about someone poaching bandwidth on my line. Wanted me to google "888TCA60-FCOA" as a "security number check". Got very annoyed when I asked him to give my home address, which he could access from the NBN connection, so I ended the call. Confirmed scammer.

Caller: Scammer

Claiming to be from Telstra wanting to speak about my broadband. I said I'm not with Telstra. She said I know sir, but all internet in Australia is Telstra and other companies resell the service. I said no, NBN is the network and Telstra has no part in my service. She got upset and yelled at me saying no Telstra owns all networks in Australia and she needs my details now.

These scammers are not very good at Googling.

Scammer called my mobile number twice within half an hour. Busy tone when calling back. Just blocked it.

recorded message telling me I had two unauthorised transactions on my credit card press one to accept them or press two to decline them, never pressed anything so the call was disconnected

The number and the words Coff Harbour came up on my phone. I answered and heard a lot of chatter in the background but no one spoke so I hung up.

This is a scam asking me to get in front of my computer because the internet has been compromised I said I’m not in front of my computer then he asks when can he call back I said don’t worry yourself I’m fine my computer is fine and I’ll call Telstra back when I’m I. Front of the computer then the DH hangs up

Scammer stating they were from Telstra and there was a problem with my internet. I work for the government and they had called my work number, when I informed him of that he screamed and hung up.

Scam! Supposedly from Coffs Harbour.

Received a call from 0404 113 512, 0428 228 152 and (02) 5633 9770. On my private and work mobiles...when i received the calls my mobile from work showed "Suspected Spam", so I didn't answer phone calls.

Came up saying Coff's Harbour, I don't answer numbers I don't know. They didn't leave a message.

Didn’t answer because I screen my calls. If it’s not in my contact list and they don’t leave a voicemail I block. And I’ll block this call too.

Missed an unsolicited call from this number. After reading the other stories here I'm flag I did

This number (02) 5633 9770 has been calling me multiple times a day. The call shows up as originating from Coffs Harbour. When I call back, it's engaged every time. I answered once, silence on their end. Annoying and very suss. Number is now blocked.

Indian male saying he was from the NBN and they were upgrading my line to fibre optic cable. Silly bugger, I already have fibre optic.

Said from Coff’s Harbour, NSW. Missed the call no voicemail left. Trying to call back resulted in “user busy” line.

Scam call, never answer some weir numbers I don't recognise. Checking this numerous and so many complaints and warnings, thanks. I often receive different numbers both from local and interstate numbers and even calling show as overseas numbers varies from NZ, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Russia, China and from Africa. All same recording messages pretending from Amazon! Fu*k them all. So far I have about 80 scam numbers blocked so far!
