The same thing has happened to me. What happened to you in the end, if there is an ending?

I've been recieving phone calls from them for the last 3 months due to moving house and being issued with a new phone number. They are not looking for me but someone else I have told them about 30 times that I am not this person and to stop calling but they will not stop. They keep telling me they will delete the number and will not call again. Sometimes they call and hang up after a few rings I have caller ID and their numbers always show up then they deny calling me. I screamed my head off at them today and called them every name I could think of. Was told again they will remove the number from their system. I honestly cannot handle this anymore this is stressing me out how do i stop them calling?

I like wasting their time by letting them call me. I have had an illegal number of calls per day and I don't even have a debt with anyone. This company should be struck off but I don't believe there are adequate laws in this country to remove this blight so I keep ignoring them. They cannot pursue debt for years on end, yet they have been calling me for years and, as I said, I have no debt.

Calls as late as 10pm. Rude messages and when I do answer they are very abrupt. The only proof they have is that they bought the debt from electricity supplier. Other than that no other information. I have rung my supplier and they no nothing about it. Complete scum.

So I got a notification via email. These lowlifes tried to break into my email account.

panthera finance has accessed my veda file 16 times and i know that these are noy mine as upon talking to them the d.o.b. is different to mine. have asked them to have removed from my veda file and was told to send copy of file to them ..like hell i will ..their stuff up not mine so they can remove from veda or legal action will follow.

So today I received a telephone call from a client of mine. I had registered a domain name on their behalf in the past. The client told me that someone had called seeking to confirm my employment at their organisation. A bit of digging and it turns out it was Panthera Finance. The HR officer for the company they called is also a lawyer; he called me and told me what happened and told me this was a serious breach of the Privacy Act.

It's also the 12th or 15th call Panthera have made to my client in the past month.

They won't tell me what they called about unless I give them my personal details, which I would never do over the phone. Ever. This day and age, no one should EVER give out their personal details to an anonymous caller.

Anyway, I have contact ASIC and the ACCC and am taking appropriate action.

No you don't respond to customer complaints. How do you have access to a number that is blocked???? ANSWER THAT ONE cause you are in breach of the Telecommunications Act. Your company are bullies and cowards, even Sheriffs have some decency

I have had the unpleasant experience with dealing with them. My number is a private number, and the number does not send when I make a call. Yet somehow, these people are able to see my number. How can that be? My phone provider has confirmed to me that the number blocking is indeed working. State mercantile are bullies, thugs and cowards. They have met their match with me cause I am going to take these unprofessional cowboys on.

They now call from.mobile numbers !!!!

Clive Tomkins from Panthera rang looking for a work colleague requesting personal contact details. Took a lot to get anything but "Clive" out of him. Eventually 'fessed up to his last name (maybe he lied) and the company. It was like pulling teeth. Of course he didn't get the details. :-)

These guys have been bothering my wife for an unpaid bill since past 2 months. It's for a Gas bill for a period of 1 month (March 2013). We moved out of the apartment 7 months before and moved our Energy Australia gas line with us.

Same comments as before - said need to speak to **** re important business matter. I said I deal in all matters but he refused to give any details. He left me a contact no and reference no to call back on... I asked him to transfer to his manager and he disconnected the call.

So.... I called back.

Then they started capturing information, so I lied my a$$ off and gave updated information - wrong email, wrong phone numbers, where I and my wife work...

Dodgy companies deserve nothing... Shame on Energy Australia for passing our important details to these debt collectors. I recall Energy Australia's entire billing system was screwed 2-3 years back - that's what's causing these issues.

Does anyone know what ombudsman they are registered with for complaints? Both COI and FOI say not listed.

The owners of the company are Mathew Hough and Jamie Hough, they are both twins and their dates of birth are 7/5/1981

If you do an ASIC search you can get both of their home addresses

Check your credit rating see if the debt is listed. Chevk to see if you actually ever had an account with AGL or Energy Australia and if so get the account number.
Check it all against Panthera's documentation. If it doesn't fit report it to ASIC.
Main thing is have proof the debt is not yours.

I have specifically asked who is calling. They do everything they can to avoid answering.

I frequently get calls from 1300 722 974 and I owe money to no one. Yet they ring my number frequently. It is a pity that one cannot block phone numbers like unwanted emails. These people are pariahs who live off the misfortunes of others. They have no conscience. One day misfortune will come their way - and deservedly so.
