ntc sales with optus .... ring optus to get your number taken off their list ... another con .... sales bull ...... always trying .

They attempted to call me a few times and they hang up soon as I answer,just now they called and said they were from Optus and wanted to know if happy with there service they asked for confirmation of DOB I immediately got suspicious and hung up I googled the number and found this forum!

Getting this one at least twice a week. Optus i think.

Have rung me twice... first time a month ago. They knew my name.. tried to register me with some sort of Internet Optus provider thing. Sent me a link that came from an Optus site. Deal seemed legit so I went with it. They said I had a ten day cooling off period to cancel. I hadn't offered personal details but I said to them that given I'm an Optus customer for them to just use the ones on file...
I became suspicious when I didn't receive any confirmation of the product via email or in the post. The ten day cooling off period came and went and I had not received anyone booking in the internet service.
I rang Optus, they knew nothing about it. The reference number I was given on the phone call meant nothing to them..... This is 3 weeks ago now..
Last week I received a phone call from some strange unrelatednumber saying I had not put funds in my online account and asking if I would like to. I hung up instantly and blocked the number...
Yesterday I received a phone call from this Perth NTC/Optus number again, this time saying they were ready to install my internet... they tried several times to confirm my name and DOB, not having my year of birth (something I only do if I'm suspicious and filling something online) after giving them a very direct mouthful of how they would need to verify their whereabouts and company they offered me the chance to speak to their manager.. I bluntly told them that clarifies nothing for me and if they wanted me to have anything at all to do with this product they would need to email me a reference number and phone number to call to confirm this...
they then said certainly what is your email address and I said well this is ridiculous as if you are in fact from Optus and who u say you are you would have all of this information already. Or at least have access to my email address on file with Optus.
I think they are scammers physhing for information... name, address, DOB & credit card in the wrong hands can create problems for good people.
I hope they get their karma soon & I hope it's served good and solid.

I answered and said hello 3 times and they hung up...

I googled this number right after the the first time they called me. I didn't answer the first call and won't answer the many calls they keep bombardeding me with! Getting ridiculous.. And I'm certain they are calling me from a mobile now too. When will it end!??

Phoned me several times and hung up as soon as I answered. When I phoned back they say they are an unmanned voicemail and to phone another number which they recited. Obviously I have now blocked as this is nuisance calling.

Ringing every day. Don't speak if I answer. Don't leave a message. Blocked the number. Still ringing.

Got a call from this number pretending to be from Optus. The caller asked me about my satisfaction with their service. Whether I had their app. Asked me to confirm my phone number which was odd considering they were calling it. He then asked me for my date of birth at which point I told him I didn't feel that an unsolicited phone call was a particularly secure for providing my personal details. He gave up immediately. Didn't even try to persaude me otherwise or give a reason.

well it does it with me - BLOCKED all private numbers on the phone period
you need to call there is an unblock number they call first then we can see the number
others I blocked on the phone as I get them so far last count is 215 numbers
so not very impressed with the telcos that sell phone numbers to call centers

This number is calling every day and not leaving a message. About time this caller gets a visit from Big Ronnie.

This number has not stopped calling me, I have lost my patience with the amount of times I have told them to stop calling me. Number is blocked, so I'm hoping they will not call me on private.
