trying to something - investments or some crap. im on the do not call register but they call and starting asking questions about my finances! blocked in phone.

Called and told me they were from Telstra and asked for ID. I told them that my wife and I charge a $50 consultancy fee per minute for such calls and could I please have their CREDIT CARD details before we proceed. Strangely enough the line went dead...

As soon as I started asking them questions they hung up on me!!

Saying they are from smart customer service or something I often get called by these idiots and if you ask anything they hang up on you. So sick of it. Blocking this number and any other one like it, and will immediately hang up on anyone from anything called 'smart' now, the name they say seems to vary.

They rang me from 0417 924 844 I later found from That number is above is connected to this one. I answered they asked if Mrs. Chambers was there that is my grandmother wired enough as I m MS. Chambers anyway I not tell them I asked who they where and they told me a name but hard understand clearing calling from overseas and they said they from smart something something again hard understand. I asked to repeat as I was having trouble under sting them they repeated there answer I was still not sure but should like something do with investment retiament or something witch I have no interest in as I m only 21 lol. I told them well this number is on the do not call list and if you call again you be reported to the police goodbye. They not ring back. I think u scare them off if you threaten them still thinking reporting them for being in breach of the privacy act oh and when I asked how they got my number they said from something something data base that when I told them I was on the do not call list and if they call again they will be reported so I hang up after that googles the number and here I am. I since finding out more about this number have blocked the call

Called me and asked if I was my 'friends' name and surname, how do they know my friends name and how did they source my number???? is there a government number you can contact to notify them of this number?

They called my mobile and eventually an Indian accented male said - Can I speak to Cook. I said you can if you stop calling me by my last name. They hung up.

If you are on your mobile set auto reject to the number. I do it to all the scam & telemarketers calls.

Got a call on my mobile at work today. When I answered, it was silent and as I was about to hang up, an accented voice asked for me by name. When i aid, yes, who am I speaking to they hung up? I returned a call to this number and it said it was it was not connected.

These guys called me and started asking about where I worked (which state, which company), full-time/part-time, whether I owned my own house - then they hung up when I gave vague answers (being suspicious from the very start) and after asking them questions about the tax benefit thing they said I was entitled to from the "Federal Government". I'm putting this down as a scam since even Telemarketers generally give some information about what they're trying to sell. It seems these guys don't want their victims asking questions that would eventually reveal them for what they are.

They called from "Smart Something Something", asked if it was me and if I was the home owner. WTF?

Called 11:00 am for some tax thingy, I am retired so they not interested.

We have rights not to be bothered by these people. Why doesn't the government legislate against these harassing calls and fine them?
