Answered but no one there

Asian accent - also claimed they were a charity survey. Asked me to confirm my name and address, which is suspicious in itself that surveys are meant to be confidential. I purposely answered no to the questions they asked, but should have hung up. I have now recorded then number as SCAM in case it comes up again on caller ID

Seeing how the last complaint was January, I might as well put a fresh complaint in. They hung up as soon as I answered.

They delay then hangup

They use those automated systems where they are calling heaps of numbers at the one time & they take the first one answered...the remainder get that delay or a hang up. Both Teltra and Optus told me they can block these numbers...but at a $3 cost per month!! Not impressed...as I get 3 or so every single day. Do not Call Register is unable to block these numbers as they state they are a Charity.

Just had a call from this number, & some Asian chick said she was from some charity thing or other. As soon as she said the word charity I hung up!

Answered the phone - 2-3 second delay, so I presumed an overseas phone call.
My charity survey . com, they have a website to look 'professional'.
I called TELSTRA last week and asked to cease international calls TO my phone, so was surprised when I received this call. After some back and forth the 'surveyor' confirmed that the phone call was being re-routed through an Australian number (08.62252083 is the number the girl gave me. I am sure even if I call it I will get nowhere)
As they call themselves a charity, they can evade the 'do no call' register.
Sick of them waking up my sleeping baby, so I need to answer.

After my last message, I thought I'd go to 'mycharity.com' to have a look. I couldn't access the site, because there was a window, requesting a user name and password to log in. Perhaps they've woken up to the fact that people are checking them out ;)

Sam as all above - phone rings and when I answer the phone, it's hung up! Sending me nutty! I'm on the Do not Call register too PLUS am a silent phone number but somehow they still got my number. Not happy Jan!!

Same here. very annoying. I think it must be some thing that records if it is a live telephone number? Dunno. Should be shot by firing squad.

Missed a call from this number. Always check up on numbers we don't know when they don't leave a message as we are registered with do not call. Found this website so went on to mycharitysurvey.com. Felt they want too much personal info just for me to opt out of these calls so we have just saved the number as DO NOT ANSWER!

Pesty number!!!!! Why are they calling when I am on the Do Not Call register? Are they working illegally?

Ive had this number several times during this week, i currently have them on the phone now, oh bugger the phone is sitting on the bench in the kitchen as long as i dont hang up they cant ring out. EX telstra worker knows all the tricks. I will leave it about 1 hour and then hang up. Im on the do not call register but they still have my number HOW

I loved my years of growing up 1950's and 1960s without this rubbish but look what advancement has done? some good but mostly bad.

Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to stop these scammers phoning even the DO NOT CALL REGISTER doesnt work with these. I purposely purchased caller ID Landline phones and have this number in there as SCAMMERS dont answer. With the amount of advertising on TV and online I can't believe that people still fall for these pranksters. This is a fantastic site as it keeps everyone informed also.
