Sounded like a real person on the other end. With an Australian accent. But I suspected it may have been a computer, as when I just said oh our yeah nah or huh I would be asked the same question with the exact same tone. I then hung up.

Caller: My Charity Survey

The no. reported above is a Brisbane no. I also received a call from this company from, I believe, a Perth no. (08) 6244 6147. The operator was an Australian girl who didn't seem to want to take no for an answer. I have gone onto their website, downloaded the opt out address and tried, without success, to opt out of their system. A total waste of my time :-/

code of ethics says (does not conduct market research survey calls). They call me up asking about my income. i lied and karma will deal to me yet how come the call ended once i said i have no income... calling to research how much cash i have... goes against your code of ethics Karen. you may want to look into that..

If "My Charity Survey" itself is not a registered charity, then surely they have no business calling people who are registered on the "do not call" register in Australia. Only the charities themselves would have the right to call people on the DNC register, because the charities themselves are exempted from the DNC register. But in any case, I guess "My Charity Survey" is not bound by Australia's DNC register because they are based in the Philippines & are not an Australian company nor are they required to comply with any Australian laws. The "opt out" procedures for My Charity Survey (MCS) clearly do not work. I was receiving very regular calls from them (as much as 3 times in 2 weeks) towards the end of last year, when I decided to opt out. I totally fail to understand why they would need to survey people so frequently, & if they do, people will easily tire of their calls, as I did. In November last year I went to their web site & opted out for both my home & mobile phone numbers using their automated "opt out" system, plus also sent a message to them through their web site confirming I wished to opt out. In all 3 of these instances, I received confirming emails back from MCS, confirming I had been opted out of their future marketing calls. But that did not stop them from continuing to call me on several occasions over the last 2 months, when I actually missed their calls, but also once this morning when I answered their call. Despite me having opted out in November 2017, they were quite insistant that I should complete their survey. So yet again today, I have gone to the MCS web site to opt out yet again - though I don't hold out much hope of it working this time around either. I'm beginning to think MCS are some kind of scam. Today's call, as well as all the recently missed calls, have come from the same phone number which is 061730734207. I have reported MCS to the do not call register in Australia, even though, being an overseas-based company, they may not be bound by the terms of the DNC register.

I have my doubts that legitimate charities would spend their precious funds employing a company with such pushy sales tactics. It sounds more like an elaborate way to gain your trust, to first obtain your personal details (which can then be sold to other spammers/scammers), and then fool you into thinking that you're donating to a charity. How do you know that when you are subsequently contacted by someone claiming to be from whatever charity, that they aren't actually impostors? I would never entrust my personal details, much less money, to someone over the phone. If you want to donate to a charity, I would recommend first verifying their legitimacy with your local charities registry office, and then contact them directly through the charity's official website.

What happens with this mob is that if you indicate you WOULD support the various charities they spruik - and the questioning is designed to get you to do just that, then they give your number to those charities, who then bombard you with calls. The biggest number I've had was eight in one day, as a result, I have told every charity that calls to take me off their calling list.

Just got a call from "mycharity.com". Asked for there Head Office ph# and got given "06129091010" that was the first thing that made me think it's a SCAME (too many numbers for Australia). The second thing was when I asked who is in charge of this the AISAN LADY (and I say that just to de kind) She hung up. So I call the number and to no surprise the number dose not work. So I have rung the QLD POLICE to report this SCAME and get told that thay will do nothing about it so I call the O-Bud and get told that because thay are from OVERSEES there is nothing that they can do. To top it all off I'm on the NO CALL LIST so how thay got my number is beyond me. So be warned its a SCAM AND THE AUS POLICE WILL DO NOTHING TO HELP YOU IF/WHEN YOU GET RIPPED OFF

These mycharitysurvey.com are a legitimate international business that represents some of the world's and Australia's leading charities. They sometimes call from overseas and the call gets cut unintentionally when you first pick up which they really should fix as it really gets you offside to begin with- I was pretty angry at first with this. When I finally got a clear line to them I thought it would be some marketing company and as ready to ask them to never call again but once I learned it was for charity and I searched their website and satisfied myself that they are legitimate, I participated. They take you through a survey with 10 second pitches from the charities they represent including Red Cross, WWF, Amnesty International, Doctors Without Borders etc and you answer if you would like to hear from these charities directly about how you can supporter them, or not, or possibly.

There is no scam or hard sell and they respect your answers although I'd be interested to learn how they get your mobile number- I suspect they got it from Amnesty International that I already support.

Called twice and hung up within 5 minutes. 3rd time it rung there was a two or three second delay then the guy started talking. Sounded like a filipino type accent to me. Saud no thank you and guy thanked me for my time and hung up.
Weird thing is that the call came through on my mobile. Which has never happened before. No scam or survey or marketing calls have ever come through on it. It is unlisted.
I want to know how they got my number. ...

Just had a call in NZ and on questioning was told it was for charities in NZ. Strange that this website is Aussie. Told them not interested and hung up.

Phone rings - hangs up as soon as answered. Dialing the number gives a message (Asian female)pointing to website mycharitysurvey.com where I found:
"
Home » Codes of Ethics
Codes of Ethics

Our Code of Ethics is a guide to the ethical and legal responsibilities when conducting Market Research Survey to ensure that Mycharitysurvey.com

Does not make sales or marketing calls"
Have emailed them to let them know the situation, and ask for action to be taken.
