Said he is Head Technician from Microsoft - "Sorry you've got the wrong number" - Barred phone number - 4th scam call from 4 phone numbers, in two hours - Really! Friday afternoon!

Can someone in Telstra please stop these scammers from calling. They ring continuously.
Very annoying and especially when you have to get out of a sick bed to answer the call.
Really fed up.

I pay for a private number and only select few family or friends have this number. Aus Post,Telstra and Dept Human Services are the only companies who have been given this number, who is leaking or selling our private information?

Nobody is selling your private information. These people call random numbers using computers and the internet, they do NOT use Telstra, etc so are beyond the control of Telcos.

Get a phone or router that can block numbers, that is the only way to beat these people at their own game.

Oh - they are blocked on my phone :-)

This number has rung me to say they were from Windows customer service database. I assumed that they were a scam. 27/10/2016

Scammers trying to take control of your PC

Got this call tonight. I note that these calls on this number have been coming since before October. Get your act in order Telstra or I will disconnect!

Rang today at 2.49 pm. Didn't answer. 🙂

Saw a missed call after office hours. Check Google, and glad to know I did not manage to pick up this scammer call. It is annoying as receiving plenty of these calls nowadays.

Rang 3 times in a row after I told him not to ring back. Stating I had a very serious virus. Told him I would fix myself. Do not ring back!

just had a call from a female from this number, tried to tell me i had a huge problem with my computer. My comment was a mouthful of abuse and that id be reporting the phone number to the police as they are nothing but scammers. Hung up on them. Lot of background noise like a shopping centre their end as well.

Yes, it's a real nuisance for an 82 year old, hard of hearing.

keep asking them about whether its all the porn you watch on your computer. Never deviate from asking them questions about porn. haha

I just had a call from (08) 6102 0235 telling me that they are "windows" technicians, no Microsoft windows just windows. pretty weird I reckon, especially when they ask for family members that don't even live at the address any more.
But I really shut them up when I told them that I'm a qualified IT technician and even more when I said that the only windows devices here are work devices and are registered through a company otherwise we only have Apple Macintosh.
They went quiet, so I said if anything was wrong we'd go through a proper IT Technician instead of over the phone that could be a scam. They replied with "How dare you call me a f**king scam." and hung up, gotta love these people being put in their place while trying to pray on the people who aren't tech savvy.

I just had a call from this number. Normally let it go thru to the answering machine, but since this displayed a Perth number I thought I would answer this time. But I said nothing and after a couple of seconds they hung up without saying anything.

Had exactly same thing from an Indian wanting to speak to outer computer owner about problems with windows on our computer.
We are on the do not call register and these pricks still call.

Received a call from an Indian man saying he was a tech from Windows support saying they were receiving some sort of information from my computer I interrupted him saying my computer is not and has not been on so he's receiving nothing from me then I said good buy and hung up bloody scammers and they ring a few times a day it's getting really annoying
