Geez Telstra!!! Do something about the overseas scammers. It really can't be that hard if there are constant complaints from certain numbers. I have a landline and the only calls I receive on it are from scammers. I need my landline for my business but clients all prefer to call my mobile, still, I want to keep my landline for new customers.

Why do Telstra make scams so easy for these Indian theives? I was told they could solve the majority of these nuisance calls, but it would lose them money. Telstra should put their Australian customers first. I really think tney make enough money to be able to solve this crap.

Same caller number (08) 6102 0235.
I like to play with 'em. I start out as a 70 yr old, (and not very good at this Internety thingy.) continuously asking them to repeat that.
After a few minutes, I start to get younger and a little more knowledgeable, but still asking a multitude of questions.
Then I slip into expert mode, [Network Engineer] and inform them that, at this point I'm obliged to inform them that they have been tracked, and the next person that knocks on their door will be the Federal Police. That brings a stunned silence followed by a click, or they hang-up most times at the frustrating 70 yr old faze. And then there are some (Microsoft service employees) that think they have a live one and hang in there till the end. I reserve the EVIL laugh for them and then hang-up on them.

I pay for a private number and only select few family or friends have this number. Aus Post,Telstra and Dept Human Services are the only companies who have been given this number, who is leaking or selling our private information?

These scammers are now putting a 1 in front of their number (08) 6102 0235 so that it looks like 1(08) 6102 0235 to defeat call blocks. You will have to try harder than that to defeat my filters you cyber predators!

5pm on a Saturday, contacted by chap wanting to speak to some bloke I've never heard of, Then says that he is phoning me about a problem with my computer as it was being hacked. It must be the Russians! I terminated the call after telling the bloke to piss off, because I'm pissed off by these pelicans trying to scam me

I too copped this lot Dec 27th 2016 a guy with an Indian accent. He said he was from microsoft and I should turn on my computer as it was showing it had been hacked? I told him I hadn't contacted microsoft and said no, he hung up. However, he called back four times in succession after that, probably to antagonise me. I let it ring out. It's a scam just hang up, there disgusting criminals.

conspiracy theory ,may be Telstra does not want to rid of us these Indian toe rags?Perhaps it is in their best interests to drive us all away from fixed landlines as they make more $$ from mobiles? Also it's easier for shady Govt services and the police to monitor mobiles.Do any of our pollies get these calls?I bet they don't.............I used to be a peace loving hippy but these incessant phone calls have turned me into a warmongering rascist! ps Bahn Dor(pronounced Barn Door) is Hindi for "Get F**ked".

First time I've had this number. Peter (with Indian accent) said he was from MIcrosoft Windows Security Dept. Errors have been detected on my computer. I played along for a bit. He wanted me to press ctrl + Windows button + some other key so it would all be fixed. (What a joke)
Told him I wasn't going to press any keys that some stranger had rung and told me to. Bye.
