Have received 9 calls in past 3 days from (07) 5512 3276 to my unlisted and very private mobile number. No voicemails being left and an inability to return the call; an automated message saying "the number you are trying to contact is busy, please consider texting the mobile number" (??? Very confusing). My 9th call was this morning and I answered. "Julie" introduced herself from Australian InsuranceLine. When I interrupted her intro speel with - "how did this company receive my private mobile #?" I was met with "Quite legally from Online Whitepages, Online Survey's and other online advertising services". I informed her the amount of calls I'd had and my grievances of the inability to return calls and clear harassment, She added - "I only have your number, I don't know where you live; I don't have your address." I sternfully demanded I be taken off the "Advertising Company Phonebook" immediately and hung up. "We" are the 98% - this should not be allowed ! ! ! ! !

Legit Australian company - Insurance Line.
Most likely calling around trying to repair their reputation after dodgy Indian scammers are using a similar company name to harass people these days.
Kinda feel sorry for the company actually, but they are legit, and very polite to deal with.
I just had an pommie chick call my mobile. Explained I'm not interested and she was happy to remove my number and apologised for the inconvenience.

So, just put up with the increasing abuse, or show them that we are the Real MONOPLY and abandon your existing Phone Numbers for those initiated and provided by any NON-Telstra USER FRIENDLY Telco Provider. Slightly inconveniencing, but it works, and Telstra might just learn something.

Have received numerous calls. despite my unlisted mobile being on the do not call register. The only time I gave it out was when signing up for the Big Switch Campaign regarding fuel deals - the fact they were asking about insurance needs when signed up kind of gives it away. No doubt I will continue to get calls now even though I am on the do not call number.

(07) 5512 3276...have received many calls from this number, mostly no-one there, never leave message. I called them back just now and as Tony says, it is 'Australian Contact Centre"who say "we work for many financial institutions" and "since the call is not of an urgent matter, we will call you back". As per Taz' suggestion, I have blocked the number on my mobile phone.

Persistent caller,rings late into evening,7 days a week.Appears to be trawling,trying to gather info for a mailing list.Am well known to the police for the right reasons,thus strangers who ring my number without being on my approved contact list,now find they have been put on a Special Watch list.
