They just keep calling: WHAT A PAIN

I work in the industry and we have had unwelcome comments on our website about the activity of this company - we didn't know who they were and we have no connection with them. Because they are not revealing who they are, and simply calling themselves something generic like the Australian Contact Centre, they are avoiding detection. We called ACMA, who runs the DO NOT CALL REGISTER, to ask what they could do about this practice to avoid the DO NOT CALL legislation (that is, if you are calling them back, maybe they are not in breach). Apparently the CALLER must lodge the complaint on the ACMA website with the specific details of the time and date of the call. If you guys want to shut this company down, go to:

I have no idea who this person is. I didn't answer my phone but I know it is not a legitimate call because very few people have my mobile number.

Just answered this number, it was a call centre seeing if I was renewing my nrl membership, so in this case, legit

Same - daily - spam calls just ignore them and if you don't answer they eventually go away

This number has been calling every day for about a week. They have left two messages, both from the "Customer Service Centre" (no company id) and to ring back on a 1300 number. Sorry, no way I'm doing that! I'm just ignoring the calls and not answering them!

This Number calls everyday, and has done for the past two weeks. They don't seem to understand the phrase 'I am not interested, please stop calling me'. I haven't answered the calls for the past few days, but they still haven't got the point and continue to call me.
It would be nice to know where they got my contact number from.

Missed calls constantly from this number

I have had about 10 calls from this number over the past few day, when I answer there is no one there, BUT today there was someone trying to sell me insurance for insurance direct.

Obviously they call numerous numbers at once then talk to the first person who answers.

I politely told them to stop calling me!!!!!

this number just called my husband on his work mobile when it had to be after 8.30pm AEST, he stressed and called me and i called it back and they said "we are the australian contact centre and we are calling on behalf of one of many financial institutions, as this call was not urgent we will call you back shortly."
going to be teaching him to block it on his iphone! he shall not answer a call from that number again

Just received a call from this number. The person was selling funeral insurance. I looked up the number after the call and found this page of complaints.
