2 missed calls from this number, and one from (07) 3166 4800 in between, which according to this site is Youi. No messages left.

Yep I filled out an online quote last night. Ah the other number is ringing me again as I write this...

As others have stated. Youi's online insurance quote form requires your mobile number so they can send you a personal pin for your quote. It's a sales trick so once you've entered in your details their sales person can call you without giving you any online quote. Turned me off straight away.

TO Cafferty...or as I like to call you...the DEVILS ADVOCATE!

Explain to me then why when they call after an online quote, they have absolutely no idea where New South Whales was. The young SOUTH AFRICAN lady on the phone had to ask what country I was in to find out.......so I guess the 7% of the sunshine coast population simply transfer calls to south africa !!!

Second to this, the bloody idiot then proceeded to keep me on the phone for a further 55 minutes to try and repeatedly get me to give them my bank account/bsb details so they could do a direct debit.!!!!!

I was polite in explaining to the young lady that I was simply shopping around and had to go through the policy in detail with my wife before signing up for anything, no would I be giving my bank account details out over the phone.

Her response...''what do you need to talk about with your wife, explain to me what you need to talk about''
My response naturally was ''none of your bloody business''

The young lady then started to get very rude and abusive(my wife can vouch for this as I had my phone on speaker), and started to give me lip... so I hung up

I have had 6 missed calls from the above number mentioned so far All between the hours of 9.30pm and 3.30am

I eventually received a quote, turned out to be 1295.00 for full comprehensive.....only 347.00 more then they quoted over the phone....maybe that's the sales commission

What a bunch of bloody galahs!!!..I would not use this company ever.

Youi - cheap online quotes with 347.00 extra hidden cost
Youi - we will pester the hell out of you until you go mad and commit yourself
Youi - nice at first..then rude/arrogant and abusive

Youi - WE DONT GET YOU!

They are persistent! I to block them, i had to add a contact to my address book called "youi" and then tick the option "send all calls to voicemail". I had to add the following numbers to the contact:

(07) 3166 4800
(07) 3608 4800
(07) 3719 4800

good luck!

Consistent calls from YOUI using both numbers listed above. They quoted significantly higher than the other insurance companies and then asked me how much their competitors were quoting!! They could not match the quotes but have continued to call everyday

I'm glad that my phone has a "block number" function on it. They have called me twice within 3 hours even though I have told them they are too expensive for me, annoying pathetic pigs

Mark from Brisbane... Please get your facts correct.. youi is an Australian insurance company with its head office on the Sushine Coast where they manage our Sales, IT, claims, training, HR etcetcetc pop on by if you like... You can't miss them... They employ over 7% of the Sunshine Coast population.. You also know that they are about to call as the online quote advises this. Uninformed herd mentality

Yup, it's Youi. I asked for a quote last week Thursday on-line. In stead of getting a quote on-line, they called me saying I was a "preferred customer". There quote was 50% higher than my quote at AAMI, and I told them this. Yet they continue to call.

A couple things:
1) They are based in Pretoria, South Africa and are using VoIP with local breakout.
2) They are owned by a South African insurance company, Outsurance. Outsurance are in turn owned by First Rand, one of the Big 4 banks in South Africa.
3) All of their quotes, claims & administrations are handled off shore in South Africa.
4) This is not an issue in itself, but frankly I want to deal with an Aussie company with local representation when it comes to any form of financial services.

Disappointing because I do a lot of online quotes and I refuse to accept any that call me. Youi promised that if I put the SMS code in they will give me the quote but instead it said "Preferred customer" and tried to call me 3 times in 3 minutes. Now added to my phone block list

I get them also on my landline and mobile. You can actually leave feedback, good or bad, on their site.

Simply looking at online quote, don't need constant phone harrasment. will not even consider them for insurance now out of principle!

Yes, another one of Youi's numbers. So far it's been this number, (07) 3166 4800 and (07) 3719 4800.
This company needs to understand that people wanted an online quote only, not constant phone calls. Not a good way to attract people to your company guys. Will be going somewhere else.

Filled out an on-line quote today and I have now received 6 missed calls in 22 mins!!! Would not go with this company even if they were tons cheaper because of their phone tactics. If I had wanted a phone quote I would have called them in the first place! Terrible way to conduct business and will definitely be sticking with NRMA.
