I contacted TELSTRA about this.

I informed them that i had not authorised any third party to bill my account and that if any amount came out of my account i would dishonour that debt and we could argue the matter in court. (I was a little annoyed but quite adamant)

They provided a Guarantee that as premium SMS and third party billing is disabled on my account I will not be charged.

Received similar to all above...ended up calling my service provider and had all premium texts stopped to my mobile. Telstra in this case and had my $10 waved but received a lecture on third party apps. What a nerve! Our service providers are well aware of this scam but seem unprepared to curb, discourage or even pursue these $&%$#@. What confused me was that I always block unsolicited numbers that reach my number in the mistaken belief that this will stop them coming in. To my surprise this number was already on my reject and spam list...how then does it still get through? The answer I was provided by the Filipino Telstra guy was that he didn't know but that this company was really fantastic at IT and would have no problem overriding my barriers! After a few choice words I informed him that really doesn't provide me with a great feeling and added that he should also refrain from placing shame on the people calling in to report this shameful and outrageous behaviour. These scumbags appear to be an international group claiming to be a gaming organisation and we need to ensure they are uncovered and prosecuted...the Tele Ombudsman is certainly the right way to go but that obviously has had no effect to date! How many millions of dollars are they raking in each and every week from unsuspecting and hardworking Australian's who are already overwhelmed and stressed to fight yet another battle they didn't want.

Absolute scum. Just got off the phone to my service provider who said I might have accidentally clicked a pop up. Um sorry, firstly no, secondly why on earth would I subscribe to a dodgy third party scam app network? Seriously.

I have the same problem. But my problem was solved it by calling your mobile phone provider & asked them to block the AppsDorado. Then call 1300 785 025 (Third party service) asked them to unsubscribe it for you. So you won't have this problem in the future

Just suffered from this scam
telstra gave me the joy of stopping any future charges... but nothing more...
I just got my sim, activated it, used a couple of aps and the internet. Withun less than 2 hours I'd been scammed.
telstra should change default settings to ban premium sms to protect customers rather than leave them vulnerable

After exiting My Optus app, I got this message: FreeMsg: Ur subscribed to Unlimited access Appsdorado http://m.au.zz.ap.appsdorado.com for $10.00/wk. Help? 1800 014 310. Reply STOP to cancel.
I am on prepaid, so I guess they can't charge anything, right? I'm just concerned that calling that number or sending a reply would actually generate some charges. I will report it to Optus though

contact ACORN and let them sort it

https://report.acorn.gov.au

the more they get told its a no no then faster it stops
also optus, telstra, vodaphone, virgin and the rest of these so called phone companies can block them
as its them that allows them to steal money

I received a message this morning saying "To confirm your transaction for $10/wk, please enter this code 992"
Hopefully because they're saying the "transaction" - which I know absolutely nothing about - isn't confirmed, I shouldn't have to do anything?
I absolutely hate these sneaky people/organisations trying to rip me off!

Just got this one. It took place when a couple of popups opened, I thought I had closed them all but turns out they only needed a couple of seconds.

A few minutes after it the text message came through to advise I have subscribed.
