I had the same issue and just got off an internet connection with Optus who resolved the issue and credited me with the money I lost. Good on you Optus!!

Received a text message stating that I'd been charged $10 and was now subscribed. I never consented to such a thing, I never ever pay for apps or games. Contacted Optus who were EXTREMELY reticent to remove the fee - they claimed it was 100% my fault, said it "wasn't a scam" and that I had to pay. After repeatedly asking what the charge was for, and what app it was, they couldn't answer. Their response was "well maybe you accidentally clicked a pop up or something". I told them they had just admitted to it being an unsolicited scam and they then removed the charge immediately.
Call your provider and don't back down! This number is an unsolicited third party subscription!

Message from this number saying I had been unsubscribed from "thumbr" and to call 1800 014 310 for help. Not sure if I have been charged, but have blocked premium numbers on my service.

I received this message, contacted Optus, and they are refusing the waive the charge. I have never, ever agreed to any sort of $10 content. BEWARE.

As many people have said, I did not subscribe. They claim you have to give them a mobile number and respond to a message to subscribe, DIDN'T happen. I ignored those messages because my phone company said they can not get my details, big mistake. Now after 4 ph. calls today and a headache; I got the premium calls blocked (check yours are), the $40.00 refunded, I spoke twice to Netsize 1300 785 025 who are middlemen and was told by them that I "signed up" on the 18/03/17. So the 4 charges are only from the latest bill, need to go thru all phone bills to check (I hope you do now). They all know it's a scam but do nothing.

I also have been receiving texts advising I have subscribed. Today they advised my account is at present $30.00. The phone number they are using is my "Portable Wi Fi" (didn't even know it had a KEYBOARD) I have returned a message using sexually explicit language. I hope his/her mother gets the message.

My boss got this same message today, got straight onto my Optus Business sales manager who is dealing with it for me. One of the perks of having a business account.

I have received numerous text messages from this scam as well. I have not subscribed to any third party. When I received my Telstra bill I had $65- worth of charges. Spoke to Telstra at their Shellharbour store and was told by them that Telstra could not stop the messages and that it was my responsibility to stop and unsubscribe from the number. Not happy. I have phoned the 1800 number to unsubscribe & then received a message from 1970 7070 to confirm my request. It better work because I am not happy about how easy this scam can charge money to your mobile phone account. Grrr

Hi , U're subscribed to thumbr costing U $10.00/wk charged to yr bill. http://m.au.zz.th.thumbr.com Unsub SMS STOP to 19707070 or 1800 014 340
This is absolutley pathetic.. I had received this TEXT message as i was in the middle of a meeting in board room.
I would never subscribe to any garbage 3rd party companies.
Have contacted Telstra and informed them thoroughly.
They put a $0 account limited for 3rd party companies applying any charges.
That workd fine for 3 weeks.. Now i am in the same situation , with a $0 account limit for 3rd party companies ( premium service )
Just received my 2nd text message from a DIFFERENT 3rd party company charging me $15/mth for once again , something i did NOT subscribe to nor agree to the terms and conditions.
This is NOT acceptable. I have another mobile contract with Vodafone , been with me for over 10 years , and i have NEVER EVER EVER had this issue with vodafone.. But yet Telstra seems to be having ALOT of these issues..
Is it a coincidence? Or ?

call your service provider and have them block the premium service. Then retain the call details as proof, in case they start billing you again.
