they are back - saying that they are following up on a a car insurance claim

Contacted me in regards to Gumtree ad, appears to be a scam.

Got a text from this number this morning at 7:30am saying

Please call Tracey Dorward on 1300 961 916 and quote reference number 0511241

It was sent from the same number that is linked to this feed 0477 751 385)

Looks like this scammer is up to new tricks !

Although when I googeled the 1300 number it is linked to a NZ debt collection company called EC Credit Collection so who knows ?

I owe no money and have no debt so god only knows what this fool is up too

Scammer contacted me to by some furniture which i posted online. Created a story that she works with a oil company and is located in middle of the sea. She wanted me to pay to the shipping company in China using Western Union for $550. She tried to convince me that she had sent the payment using paypal, which were later found in my spam folder and were sent from some other website pretending to be Paypal. People be aware!

Another scam with same number - tried to extract our bank details and organise courier to collect furniture we were selling. This was the second email we received - the language used/grammar is the giveaway:

Thanks for mailing back,am ok with the price and the condition,am buying it for my holiday,because i'll be coming soon from our rig as am a petroleum project engineer on a rig offshore,i won't be able to come for the inspection due to the nature of my work,i would have love to call in person but we have call restriction due to bad weather condition our satellite server has been down.i will be paying you through PayPal or transferring the money from my paypal wire bank transfer to your bank account,pls get back to me with your PayPal details or bsb bank details, so i can proceed with the payment into any of the two and contact the courier agent who will come to pick it up and deliver it in my place.Await your reply

this number is connected to a gumtree scammer...don't be fooled!

was contacted for car ad on gumtree, told me to email on cypriand83 @ gmail.com

GUMTREE SCAMMER - beware. tried the old ill paypal you the money and a courier will come get your car trick. dont fall for it

Same Number contacted me via gumtree add left the email address of stevenmark846 @ gmail.com

Same number contact me via my ad at gumtree and said he worked as a sailor and wanted my bank details.

Same Number contacted me via gumtree add letf the email address of brettmcarrol12 @ hotmail.com Scam or Prank dont call back or relpy

Same number contacted me with an email address sarawilliams611 @ hotmail.com then said they worked away and wanted bank details. Tried to call number and phone was switched off. Def dodgy

Trolling number got me through gumtree contacts with an email when trying to ring phone it's switched off prank and scam don't bother with this person.
