This number belongs to an individual who employs a variety of inappropriate behaviours as tactics, in order to accomplish an aim (or the guise - I am unsure as to the truth of said claims made by them) of collecting debt, which I have observed to include; bullying; intimidation; offensive language; aggressive voice tone and raised voice tone; guilt-tripping; harassment by calling multiple times during the day and night (including "unknown") number calls where the same voice and stated first name will respond to your pick-up; threats of a financial nature; inappropriate questions about friends and family members, of a personal nature; demands large sums of money to be given to them immediately; often refuses to give a name during a telephone conversation but will ask if the phone belongs to your name; they also will refuse to give adequate identification information on a call, despite questions that are highly personal (i.e. When pressed, they eventually gave a first name but would not give a surname; and there has been negligible communication in writing (and my request for this - either by mail or email has been refused) to either corroborate their identity, function, communication or interests - aside from one or two texts about a, "business matter" - all correspondence (including the inappropriate method of communicating) is done verbally, including amounts demanded. They also have refused to say what company they belong to. Additionally, they refuse to give an email address to contact.) This individual has access to several numbers and will continue to harass with another number, when a former is blocked on a mobile.

Calling repeatedly during the COVID-19 scare where people are losing their jobs is a pretty low act! The government should put a hold on all debt related activities until this pandemic is over!

Received call from this number at 6am
Very annoyed that a business knowing fair well would think it is acceptable to be harassing people at that time of day. Thanks CREDIT CORP!

It's interesting the comments on this page regarding illegal tactics such as hacking as the phone number I searched to reach this page called a phone with no sim card that has not been registered to a number in more than a year. The phone number I have is now allocated to a new phone which did not receive a call from this number so the only way they could have left their number on the phone is by hacking. The phone was also not connected to wifi and was turned off at the time the call was logged as received. It sounds like this company is extremely dodgey and its directors and staff involved should face criminal charges if this is the way they do business.

Credit card debt is a unsecured debt. They Credit Corp bought the debt at maybe 4c in the $.
One can always try to negotiate a deal with them with this knowledge in mind.
If its a bank debt or other ask them for the assignment of debt document and ask how much they paid to the bank or other for the assignment. The bank has written it off anyway.

I have been getting calls at 6am and 9:30pm. I was surprised to get a call from them about anything, let alone an internet/phone account that yes, has my name on it but the account was connected 3 months after I moved. 4 times now I have gone through the same conversation with their rude, aggressive and degrading language and tone. Yet, still they are demanding I pay $400 and some change that someone else owes. Don't really know where else to go with this. I am not paying someone else's Bill and I should NOT have this on my credit report. I'm going to have to pay a lawyer now, so I have to part with cash that I wouldn't need to if either Credit Corp or Telstra ensured that they were dealing with the right person. The person who committed Fraud and Identity Theft at the very least.

Always harassing to finalise your outstanding debt earlier, insistent, rude and unfriendly when told it won't happen they keep on insisting. Block only works for a while, they have multiple numbers!

Calls my mobile on private, which I do not answer. Then uses the mobile number, for me to answer and not say anything, and they say nothing. Doesn't leave a voicemail when I don't pick up, then proceeds to bombard my parents home phone.

Scam call about someone else's debt. Very weird and very, very aggressive! Wanted information about someone I've never heard of and was bullying and abusive. They also refused to identify who they were or where they were from when I asked. Told me it was "none of my business". Seriously, there are way too many scams and too many scammers calling every freaking day!

Caller: 'Malyn' from Credit Corp

This woman has been harassing me on different phone numbers for about 3 years about a debt I did not accrue. I have spoken to her and asked her to email me the mob. bill in question so that I can pursue it with the particular telco. but I have never received anything. I refuse to pay as I have never had an account with this telco provider. I believe someone could have used my details and run up an account in my name.

This is the Credit Corp, Money Sucker by Banks,

"It is an elementary principle of English Law-- known as the doctrine of Privily of Contract'- that the contractual rights and duties only affect the parties to a contract" P.S. Atiyah, An introduction to the Law of Contract 265 (3d ed. 1981).

So under the Privily of Contract between Banks & client (Victems) Debit Collectors weren't signed party of the contract and they have nothing to do with you.
