this person contacted me this evening about my car for sale! has now emailed me 3 times email recedebney @ hotmail.com says he wants to buy my car asked some questions about the car such as where did you see my add etc... no response he text me on 0429 237 364 and said no text. did a google search on his name and found all this...WOW, wanted my account details is this a joke or what!

I just had the same scam text and then scam email from Reece Debney all about being offshore for 15 days etc. My car has only been listed for sale on carsales for about 6 hrs. What a douchebag. His number is now 0429 202 637 Dont know why they cant get a job and work for their money like the rest of us.

We listed our car on Carsales and got the exact same messages as everyone just one day after listing... my partner and I were both sceptical but thought it may be legit... it wasn't until he started pushing for us to transfer funds to a western union account... I googled western union paypal scams... there it was in black and white! Then we received further emails asking exactly the same as he has obviously done to other people... so we are just going to play this out for a little while longer... we have also made reports and sent copies of emails also... so at last count this person has used 21 different mobile numbers to keep his scam going.... d*ckHEAD!

It's a scam! Got the same thing and he asked me not text or call. Also he actually takes the time to reply. When I asked why he is buying a car from Sydney when he lives in NT he didnt respond to it just proceeded to say he's interested in the car and the courier will come pick it up!

Exactly the same as everyone else, from Reece Debney 0407 659 171, we were just about to send an email reply when we checked this site, so the email didn't go. Thanks everyone for the warnings!

Hey Sahil, I just got an email from this guy last night, how did you end up paying him money? What were the circumstances surrounding you transferring funds?

I got the exact same email twice yesterday re my car which is advertised on Car Sales from "Reece Debney" no phone number left.

Hi i just got a message from him as well he is on 0407 659 717. Wow he changes phone number quickly. What is his game? How will he (assuming it is a he) still money from us if he we go through paypal?

I have now completed the payment through PayPal Internet Banking. I sent $5,900.00 in all to your Bank account but the money is pending with PayPal and it will not be credited into your account because of the excess payments of $1,600.00 I added meant for pick up.Kindly check mail folders (inbox,spam and junk mail) for the payment confirmation receipt asap.You have to send $1,500 to my pick up agent's office via Western union so that PayPal can release the money into your account as soon as you have emailed the Western union details to them. I added extra $100 to cover the Western union charges which shouldn't be more than $20-50 but just to be sure i added $100.As stated in my previous mail ,Western Union Transfer can be done at any Post office/Western Union outlet near you.




Here is the pick up agent info needed to get the money sent through western union money transfer.

Now using 0417 820 398. He must have a huge phone bill with all these mobile numbers he uses.
