The do not call register only applies to telemarketers and people trying to SELL you something. This is PURELY a research company WITH NOTHING TO SELL. I get annoyed with telemarketers as much as the next person but THEY ARE NOT THEY ARE CONDUCTING RESEARCH TO HELP MAKE OUR LIVES EASIER IN THE LONG RUN. Unless everyone on the magical do not call list are illiterate you should have QUITE EASILY READ THAT RESEARCHERS CAN CALL YOU so by saying you don't know how they can legally call you makes you sound like a complete idiot.

I just add the number to a "Contact" I've created called Spam Pests which I have set to block calls from these numbers. I have about 10 on there so far! Situation ... Fixed!

Received a phone call from this mob for a media survey? Managed to locate their website and all their details. They're Legit (not selling crap or changing services), as far as I can see.
It surprises that with 6 pages of commentary on this website, why has nobody actually researched the DNC List exceptions?

Got this message over the last 2 days saying missed called around 5:10/15 .
This is strange because my number is a Telstra Pre-Paid number using one of their USB dongles.
Don't understand why another Telco is trying to contact me on this number?

I received several calls from this number (IPSOS Postal Address: Level 13 / 168 Walker St, North Sydney NSW 2060 Australia) - not really since the calling number is from Melbourne.

I eventually answered the call & told the caller (Hamish) that this was a "Do Not Call" number but he "claimed" they were exempt because they were not selling anything (yeah right). He asked if I was willing to do an on-line survey which would be emailed to me & I STUPIDLY agreed.

The first survey was about media & had a time line of 30 minutes, it took me about 20 minutes to complete - easy enough - but then it asks if you are happy to do another survey - HUGE MISTAKE. The survey has no estimate or time line & so far after over 1 hour 40 minutes there is still no end in sight.

I can't credit there could be so many questions. I have suspended the survey for now & will return later (it remembers where you were) simply out of curiosity to just know how long it actually is. My main concern is that despite "claims" when they cold called me of not to be selling anything I now believe the questions are ALL about targeting me in the future as they now know EVERYTHING about me (travel, shopping, finances, banks, food, telecommunications, Internet, etc. etc.)

My advice is DO NOT COMMITT!!!!

Called us several times & we did not answer. We are registered on DNC so they should not by law call us! If they persist I will report them!

Just say " hi can you wait 2 secs" put the phone down and leave it until they hang up ;)

Answer the call, say "hi can you hold please" then put the phone down somewhere and grab it when they get fed up and hang up

I am also on the DNCR...they continue yo call...again today....Sunday at 0745 EDT....i am fed up....am making official complaint

iView is a market and social research data collection agency. When you call them to have your number removed from their call list, (03) 9940 7700, their excuse will be that they're not trying to sell you anything. My number is also registered on the govt DO NOT CALL REGISTER. Their email address is enquiries @ iview.com.au

I had 10 missed calls (on my mobile) from this number in 3 days. It stopped for a couple of months then started up again. I answered one day and politely stated I do not do surveys. Hopefully they won't call back.

This number is very annoying. It kept calling my home phone for the past week on everyday basis. Several times a day.

Yep, we too are on the DCR but still get their calls.

Like most of you, I am also on the DNC register...I got 4 calls in 1hr from this number, all between 6-7pm.
