Indian man rang said he was going to rape myself and my mother

They called me and I didn't pickup several times. Then when I did answer a woman with Indian accent asked about my AGL account. I said which one? (I have gas and electricity) but they didn't answer and asked if I was in my previous suburb! I then got suspicious and then when she asked me my Date Of Birth I asked her her's and hung up.

Bloody Punjabs... they keep ringing trying to get money so they can buy fuel for their elephants.

Received a phone call from this number, and was told it was about my AGL account (which I do have), so I assumed it was about my current account. Indian man gave me a number to call, as he can't transfer me (odd). I call the number, turns out it is Panther Finance! Debt collector...
I am so angry.

They called me twice today, called AGL after missed call this morning and my bill is paid in full so no reason for AGL to call me. This number called again this evening and I answered and was told the call was about an overdue bill, I asked him what was the amount and he said he needed my security details before he could tell me that, I said "You rang me, you have my details, tell me the amount of the bill", he still would not give me any details until I gave him mine, so I told him that I had spoken to AGL today and had no outstanding amount and told him that I would report this number, so I am reporting this number!!

Rings and does not leave message. Called AGL separately and they claim my records are up to date and there should be no one calling me from them

This is AGL debt collection. I get this call several times daily. I do owe $100 on a gas bill, but AGL mucked me around, so I'm dragging out the amount owing. I also work for Energy Australia. I recommend if your getting calls from a gas/elec provider, answer the call and sort out the issue. It's not hard to sign up a bill in someone else name. AGL could be chasing you all for debts that are not even yours. Do chase it up! Also I know that if an account is closed with AGL and there was exsisting credit on the account, they legally need to call you, have you verify your details, then a refund is processed to your bank. So it's not always bad news.

Didn't pick up as there is no reason for me to recieve a call at this time of night from a landline !!!

I received a call from them the other day and I told the caller that I was paid up with my accounts. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and told them that I had paid my bill on the due date. The supervisor then told me that my current bills are up to date, but there was a connection fee from 2009 that was outstanding. So I told that person that I know I don't owe anything and I still had all of my bills and bank records going back about 20 years and if they harassed me, I would refer the matter to consumer affairs. 2009 is a long stretch and even if, for some inexplicable reason ActewAGL forgot to chard a connection fee in 2009, there is the little matter of the statute of limitation, which would have expired last year on any debt going back to 2009.

Several missed calls from this number in the past couple of weeks. Called back to an overseas call centre claiming to be AGL and wanting to know all my personal details. The woman I spoke to tried to tell me I had an overdue account (which I don't). Wouldn't give me any details about anything but just kept asking for my full name, account number, date of birth and address.

I have had so many calls from this number with no messages being left when I ignore it. I called back and it was AGL,I don't have an account with them and the girl agreed and said she would put a note not to contact me again.
I guess we will see what happens.

I am with AGL but I'm in Sydney why would the provider have 03 area code. I called AGL and they said that it should be your area code which is 02 not 03

I have had 2 calls from this number today, so I returned the call. I am not with AGL nor have I ever been with AGL. Seemed very suss to me! Asking for my name, dob, address ect. The Indian lady ended up hanging up on me because I wouldn't give her details until she told me what is was in regards to!

I wrang the number back after they called multiple time in one day. When they answered I said I didn't have an account with AGL. That said don't worry about the "reminders" and then hung up. Seems like a scam.

Why would he need to know

Ive been recieving calls everyday from this number asking for a girl who i dont even know of! This is getting out of hand now so i am contacting the police and making an official complaint! However, these people need to learn that time is valuable, especially within my career, so useless, multiple, daily phone calls is becoming an affect that could potentially cost a customer. AGL, pull your head in and get a handle on your employees!
