I got the call said on behalf of Vodafone, but they want you to confirm your phone number and PIN(?) which allow them to login to your acc. NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR PIN.

I received numerous from these idiots and still do and when you block the call you get a message to say you have missed the call which even annoys me further. They are now unblocked but their call will remain unanswered.

Fake Vodafone scammer, calls me two times a day, I answer and they hang up in a few seconds, I've so far gotten about 50 calls from them in the last two weeks, really fed up with them and ready to yell and swear at them.

I have been receiving 3 calls a day every day for the last few weeks and they hang up as soon as I answer the call. I have blocked the number and rang Vodafone as that is who it says it is when I call the number back. Vodafone were very unhelpful and asked me if I wanted to change my number. Even with the number blocked they call 3 times a day. Not happy!!!

This is a total scam, report it to Vodafone ASAP. They confirm it is not their number but need a lot of complaints to investigate further.

As an aside, there is a similar scam with people pretending to be from Suncorp... Have reported this one as well.

Wish companies would check who they sell your phone number too.....

not a scam but an outbound call to upgrade or switch your old plan over check website and do it yourself or call the 1555 or online to have it done . Old plans only exist whilst you are on them but if not in contract and dont respond to calls emails or text regarding them expiring any telco can switch you to a similar new plan at the end of your billing cycle its in terms and conditions important to read before you do any contract or plan no matter how tedious Acc cant help with this but you can always try their retention line or ask for as close to similar and they may be able to help so I was told when I rang but is a very rude way to do things once could stay on your old plan until you wanted to or needed to change

They are an outsource Centre, presently contacting Vodaphone Customers who are on 'old' plans and trying to get you to upgrade to the 'new and improved' plans. They tried to convince me my current plan would 'expire' the first week of August and I would 'have' to change to another plan - the best was still nearly $20 a month MORE expensive than the plan I am on. As I said to them the first time, they can't 'force' you to change plans unless they are offering something that is of equal or better value than what you are currently using. I threatened to report them to the ACCC and they left me alone for a while but now I am getting calls again (which I'm not answering) .. in the meantime .. my plan, so far, has NOT 'expired'... but I can bet they are in a hurry to take away my old plan still!!

I've been getting calls from this number too. Checked the Vodafone website and it is listed as one of their affiliated sales companies. So probably not a scam, but trying to upgrade you to a different plan or something.

8 calls in 2 days.. called them back ..Vodaphone recorded message. "Lots of great deals to offer" (their message NOT mine!) & then a WONDERFUL spiel about how to register on the Govt "Don't Call Register" if I don't want to receive 'unlsolicted calls....' IRONICALLY...I am already on the "Don't call register!!" ....& I can see how well that works.... bahaha

got the same number today, then from 0403 000 992, both based in Melbourne. Had an Indian last week from a mumber listed in South Australia (08) 7087 3520 claiming to be from an energy company. The fact that these occurred together and I have multiple calls from both indicates to me a common denominator. The week prior a filipina from a number based in Scotland "in response to your interest" expressed in a financial investment. All scams imo. Just hang up, they won't accept a polite decline.
