Same issues phone rings then hangs up when answered. Number now blocked on my phone.

Rings up to 5 times a day, just hangs up when I answer. If I call the number back an operator says that number has been disconnected???

Just had a call from a man with very strong Indian accent, supposedly to tell me about a discount for calls. Says he's from Telstra reseller and wanted to know how much I pay per month. When I answered that I did not want to tell him he said "then why don't you go to sleep"???? Go figure what that means.I hung up on this prick.

They have called me three times in the last few hours and just hang up when I answer.

This has been going on for years by same number by looking at complaints. Nothing seems to happen ??

The idiots done the same. ring ,you answer hangup but I managed to tell them to Foff before they hungup.

Happened just now, for the 3rd time this week. When you answer the phone, they hang up. What's the sense in that? Pain in the rump.

So how come the number is discounted if the bustard are making calls from this number?

number keeps calling. answer the phone and say hello they then hang up without saying anything.

Telstra usually ring from private numbers when calling out and they generally won't call you unless they use a private number. That's why they have their little surveys after you have called them with your problem and solved it. I will contact Telstra and ask them about these people claiming to be them. I have now blocked the number.

Def a scam just tried to ring number back and it's disconnected have rang me now 5 times in 20 mins

Been getting these calls too. Sometimes they just hang up. Today they asked to speak to someone by my surname only, and asked about my plan. They wanted to know how often I pay for it (Telstra would know this information) and that I could get a discount. No confirmation of my ID at all. They sounded very unprofessional.

4 calls in 30 minutes...they hung up straight away every time we answered

They rang 4 times in the space of 30 minutes, hung up everytime as soon as we answered

today again called by this number, first was a straght hang up, second could hear background noises yet no one spoke... officials please do something!

Had numerous calls from (03) 9028 5545, ended up speaking to "Helen", was claiming to be a reseller from Telstra and due to being a good customer was offering a discount, as if she was with Mart Tel, she said yes, told her some info that didn't impress her and she ended the call,

I have just lodged a complaint with Do Not Call Register. This number called and hung up - that makes me suspicious.

Same as above. However i rang the real Telstra to.report it. They are investigating and also said they are getting more organized. Dam call centres. I like the whistle idea!
