So they called me the other day and already had my details. And asked me to pay an over due city link account and city link contacted "the probe group" so they said,I spoke to a guy named David and he said I owe them money for chasing me up to pay an over due account.. But I haven't had an over due account with city link, I called city link and the lady I spoke to said everything is fine with my account. I called the prob group back and said your information is wrong and I don't owe you anything. He "the probe group" asked me to email my payment to city link with a reference number. Which I don't have to do and I'm not going to do. I find it a worry that they have my details all ready no bank details though, they have my name/address/phone no./email. Are these guys really scammers? Do I have to make any more contact with them?

I have been getting calls from probe company,daily in morning , afternoon, sometimes twice or thrice a day.When i asked them whom am i talking to? they say as ''probe company,we have a file of yours,we need to get your personal details to verify whom you are, and this call will be recorded ''when i asked them i don't have any files, don't know what you are talking about.They just hung up phone..It is annoying don't understand how to block it..

Funny I just received a call from someone today with details of the caller leaving a contact number and a reference number. I had the same response that the operator was unable to verify me as I did not know the address that she had on her file and so was unable to give any further information. You are absolutely correct in that in this current climate it is very risky giving any personal information over the phone and I agree that these companies need to rethink the way in which they identify clients. I also feel that, although it is good for foreign countries to be getting an income from Australian companies via outsourcing, it's time we ceased dealing with companies that practice this. Bring it all back home.We need the jobs to rebuild our own ecconomy
