My husband received a call from Probe saying he had an overdue Simply Energy bill. We are with Simply Energy but I have just confirmed we have no overdue payments (and never have) nor are his details on the bill. So all very dodgy! He's blocked their number.

I have been getting calls and texts from this so-called probe group on and off for over 12 months. They are sending texts with links to pay a debt that is under another persons name "that i do not know". I have blocked the numbers they have been calling me from and I have now been receiving calls from No caller ID's. - When I answer they ask for Jacinta and then hang up, super suss. Don't give them money definitely spam

I had these guys leave text messages to call the 1300 number. They always call in the evening. They wanted my address and I said why? they said it was important information regarding city link. I said fine I will contact city link myself. Yet to see if they keep calling. I don't trust them I think its a total scam. I wonder if the positive comments are from the scammers themselves. Don't give them anything.

I received calls from a automated voice saying to call. 1300 315 647 and quote a number strange thing this phone call wasnt for me i tell the you got the wrong number but yet for 5 weeks everday 2 or 3 times they keep calling. Does anyone know how to actually stop these calls its driving me up the wall

Got a call from this number yesterday, no doubt a telemarketer.
Also got a call from 8370 7019 today, how many numbers do these guys work with.?

I have just received an sms on my personal mobile asking me to call 1300 660 522 urgently and quote a reference number. Did this and then they want to know the name of the business I represent. As my personal mobile is not connected to any business I couldn't give them a name. They insisted that the ACCC prevents them from giving me any information unless I can give them a business name. Going round in circles! They then asked if I wanted my mobile number removed from the 'file'. I said yes, however they can't remove my number unless I gave them my number. So what is in their file for them to remove!!! Sounds and smells like a scam to me. Anyway ended up just hanging up on them as getting nowhere fast.

Got a text message from this annoying mob today, telling me to urgently call 1300 136 748 . The I called it is diverted to nasty lady o Phillipines and she wants my name and personal details./ No way am I handing over that information. If Probe have an issue to discuss with me. Trying mailing me something and proving there is even something for me to talk about with these clowns. I am going to ignore them.

Hi i had multiple calls from probe group in indecent hours on weekends and letter from geoffrey mendeilson lawyers which is same company i guess i fowarded my complaint to.credit obudsman fair trading as they want legal action

Definitely a legitimate business, used by Trans Urban-toll collection contractors for GO VIA (Brisbane Govt tollways). I didn't give out information, but rang GO VIA directly and they confirmed they use Probe. Settled my $20 account and all is well.

THEY'RE FAKE!!!!! Call your direct company who you have the outstanding bill or invoice with, mine was with Citylink. Citylink have never done business with this Probe Group.

I received an email from this Probe Group at 1am in the morning saying to contact them about a Citylink matter. I deleted it from my inbox, as I was suspuious as to why Citylink wasn't contacting me over -$5.25 balance & why I received the email in the middle of the night.

They call on a private number to which I missed. In their email, I got there number and called. Spoken to someone who wanted me to verify my address. I told them I haven't personally directly given it to them, so for my own security refuse to tell them this information. After talking to the so-called manager, Chester, completely unprofessional - the refuse to continue the call.

Called up Citylink, NEVER HEARD OF THEM!

I had 17 calls left on my answering machine 1 and 2 minutes apart. I tried to ring the number today but after holding on for 8 minutes was disconnected from the call. We received a letter in the mail from a solicitor in Caulfield Vic demanding money they we are supposed to owe to Simply Energy. My husband rang Simply Energy to see if we could get a better deal on our Electricity account, didn't agree or sign anything but they somehow changed us to them. Origin Energy became aware of this and rang us and offered us a better to deal to stay with them which we did. We now find out we owe Simply Energy $175 for which we have never received a bill or any paperwork. By the way the number we got to call The Probe Group was different from the above numbers it is (03) 9021 3460. VERY DODGY

Yes I have been called by this number as well as a private number by same guy (DAVID who happens to be of Indian descent) numerous of times, as soon as I mentioned this company being a scam, he'd lose his sh*t with me, continually ask me for my credit card details, couldn't provide me with any information in regards to 'my personal information' (such as address or Id number)..... Constantly calls at ungodly hours or rediculous hours (trying to cook dinner or feed and bathe children when he'd call) you always get the same person, a friend of mine paid a supposed $5000 debt she had with 'the probe group' less than 12 months ago..... And guess what. She was scammed.

LOL backyard lawyers. Anyone can record a conversation or phone call in Australia so long as at least one party of the conversation is aware that it is recorded. In this case they are aware it is recorded.

I received a letter in the mail from them, and they called about 5-6 times per day, were very rude and when I mentioned that I wasn't giving my personal information out because I'm aware its a scam they hung up and havent called back since.

I just received a call from this mob, they have no idea what they are talking about, they asked for an outstanding $600 bill from Origin Energy, after calling Origin they confirmed that my account has been paid in full and no further payment is needed. They are criminals who need to be prosecuted.

i used to work there and your debt is now at probe due to you definitely having an account/recent bill with citylink, and probe have been employed to collect it. they make a commission off what you pay in total. they keep about 30% and give the rest to citylink. the trouble is, the companies they sign up like citylink, westpac, cba, citigroup and many others, dont give a toss if uve paid, on a plan etc etc...ALL overdues (at a certain time) will be given to probe, and if its been paid, ur mum is sick and u cant pay, u've told them a scenario....they DONT have it on record, and they DONT CARE. the company is full of brown noses who "know somewone who know someone" and the staff are treated terrible (in melbourne) if you are not of indian or sri lankan decent
