Constantly getting calls without anyone on the other end. This is one of the numbers calling me. I am on the Do Not Call register and if I get to talk to people I tell them to remove my name from their database. When I worked for a company that had a division with a call centre they told me that all those companies are obliged to remove your name if you forcibly request it. I am quite determined will talk about nothing else. I have managed to stop most marketing and rubbish except for these creeps and wps.

Me too people, simply annoying. My number is private and still not good enough to deter these nuisance causing imbeciles. What a waste of time for us all.

I called the Social Research Centre in Melbourne 1800 023 040) - they own the number  (03) 8327 1900 and make their outgoing calls from it (they have confirmed this number with me).  

As they are not telemarketers (ie trying to sell you something) they are not governed by the Do Not Call Register legislation.  If you are getting calls from them you can ask them to take you off their current research campaign but they can't stop their system from calling your number for any future campaigns.

Just bloody annoying if you ask me....

It is a social research company (fundraisers) that call constantly.  U can call their business office on 1800 023 040 and tell them to take u off their register.  I have just done so.
