I have been receiving calls from them on a daily basis for the last week and I don't even have a Foxtel account. How can I stop this? Received 'cold call' 3 July : guy said he was from "Foxtel" & " because I was a loyal customer, they would up-grade my box to an IQ3". When I asked what box I had already he said he first wanted to confirm my personal details, name, phone number he was calling me on etc. I said he should know my details because he called ME and Foxtel had them already ! I said Foxtel had my email address & asked him to email me with offer. Then I closed the call. My advice is NEVER disclose personal info to a 'cold caller'. If it's not a scam, Foxtel should improve its marketing !! Foxtel recorded message advertising "A Place to call Home" - like, who cares! I rang back the number and it says thank you for calling, Foxtel has recently tried to call you regarding our products. Thank you for your interest. Unsolicited and unwanted. This Flog asked for personal details...
Told him to hang on and I'd go get them for him..
Then put the phone on the coffee table and went back to watching TV...
Received phone call on Tuesday 28.03.17 stating we have been long term Foxtel customers and offered the IQ3 box for free including installation with no increase to our monthly costs. First time any offer for customer loyalty from Foxtell - too good to be true!
Rang 131 999 to get more info and told that they are not authorized to upgrade so forwarded email onto Marketing. No contact - scam....... why can't/doesn't Foxtell do something about this!
calls a few times a week :( if u want to talk to me then i DO have voicemail 1st.. Claims to be foxtel, then asked what type of box I had. They couldn't tell me what box I had but proceeded to try and have me release my own personal details to identify myself.
I believe it's a scam. Avoid.
They called trying to get me to upgrade to iq3 box. I asked if I could think about it and they said yes but I would not be able to receive the one off offer of $75, I had to accept during this call to receicve the offer.
She then asked for address which I gave and then to confirm my date of birth.
I will never give this out to people that call me, so I hung up im sure it was a scam.

I have a Voice Mail message that tells all to leave a message and that I do not answer calls when no message is left. I just research their phone number on the internet and block the number when I find that it is a scam. I am getting more of them every day.
73 years old and not wasting my time on these thieves.
I think it is about time the tele. companies and Aust. Gov. took some action.
They all have the capacity to trace and track these Scammers.
Missed the call -- I see a trend here. I just cancelled my Foxtel last week. HOW did they get the numbers of "foxtel" customers, i do hope foxtel have not handed this information out cause if they have there is going to be a huge class action against them. THIS IS A SCAM. They claim to be Foxtel and said they wanted to reward me for being a loyal customer. Asked for my name and address and then asked for the password I use for my account! Obviously a scam. I have blocked the number on my phone hopefully that fixes it Apparently it is Foxtel I wish they would ping off , calling at all hours n hanging up ! Do these companies ever consider some ppl are sick or have real issues they are dealing with n don't want strangers calling .Next Time they call i might just play some Hopsin Leave Me The #%*& Alone ! Calls from this number are at least twice a day I no longer answer any calls then do *10# I'm so sick of these annoying calls eventually I won't use a landline at all , I'll simply unplug it . I have foxtel and still get the them calling me No message left. I called the number straight back and it says " the number you have called is not connected"... Caller: Foxtel?
A man supposedly calling from Foxtel to tell my husband (who answered the phone) that we were going to lose certain sports channels as of May. They proceeded to ask for identification as in account number etc, which my husband refused to give him. When my husband asked where he was calling from he said South Africa (strange we thought). They tried really hard, but in the end my husband hang up on them. We have contacted Foxtel about this and waiting for a reply.
