Asked me to approve that a debit of $299.99 be made from 'your account' for an 'eBay gift card' purchase. They could not tell me what my account details were, then hung up. I know nothing about an eBay purchase.

I did not answer but from what I just read it looks like it is a very widespread scam doing the rounds. See a number you do not know,do not answer it. That is what we do.

Called me with this number and made me download team veiwer then i realised it saidput your details my bank details Indian man I then uninstalled the app it's a scam and he got angry she I didn't put my details ad he hung up on my face.. I then called my bank and he can't get sh*t

Ignored number as didn’t recognise it and it came from Hobart, went to voicemail.....missed first part of message.....then said to dial the number to cancel order. Scam, as I have no order. And such a “fake” recorded voice too......

They say they are from ebay and I ordered gift cards when I rang from a different phone they said some one must have hacked my bank details I do not have any details on line and I never purchase on line and said he could help me protect my account while I was on phone my friend checked this number and it came up scam he took the phone to ask where they were and they hung up

Called saying i made a purchase of AUD 299 dollars itunes card from ebay. When I called out to stop the scamming business, he got angry. 😂😂

Same deal - automated voice confirming $299 Ebay gift card purchase.
Pressed 1 to speak with someone who told me my Ebay account has been hacked and someone is trying to take my money. Telling me i need to cancel my account and Ebay will try to trace the hackers. But more importantly, I must complete an online form confirming all my details...

I have no Ebay account.
