This is the call center for TPG internet.
TPG also includes several subsidiaries such as iiNet (Australia), ADAM (Adelaide and my current provider), Internode (Adelaide), and likely other more local ones, like ADAM, from your particular state, is Westnet still around. So if you are a customer of any of those and get a call from TPG, its likely a legitimate call, moreso if you, like me, are waiting for a callback on a problem with your connection.
BUT if they are calling you out of the blue, or trying a hard sell. Tell them not interested in any offers and do not call unless it is directly related to a current connection issue.
If you are not a customer of any of the subsidiaries, then tell them to take your number off the list and don't call again.
If you are not already I suggest adding all of your home and mobiles numbers to the 'Do not call registry' for Australia, a quick google should find it for you, it will have a .gov.au as part of its URL, so is safe to use.

Rang us a private mobile number.
No one spoke - just a prerecording asking to enter numbers.
We have no dealings with TPG and have never made any enquiries so if it is TPG they have no reason to call.
The caller also rang a number that is listed on the do not call register.
I would recommend that you don't take their calls.

LEGITIMATELY TPG
Called me to update me on the status of a technical issue with my broadband, that they are in the middle of repairing. Didn't ask for personal details and knew the nature of the fault without me having to relay the information to them.

Yes I am a TPG customer, but I still don't like their new-product sales methods. In a row, they phoned me on mobile, then homeline, then mobile again (I answered just to get it over with). All in regard to the NBN, which they have already emailed and mailed about. Very pushy when I said I'm not interested at this time.
Overall I am happy with the internet service I've had to-date but do find this type of phone hounding unacceptable.

Called me 5 times in the space of 2 minutes. I don’t really care what they’re trying to sell, that is harassment.

I called TPG for a billing issue. TPG call centre queues were swamped, so they asked to take my number for support callback. This is the number they called back on.
