If I am on the do not call register how come market researchers are calling me?

Yes, I've had numerous calls from these people, call terminated as soon as I answered. My number is on do not call register too.

They keep calling, never leave messages. this has been happening at least once a day for a month - really annoying.

they ring every three days and hang up or we dont answer it just a nuisance really

I've just had a missed call from this number. I rang them back within 5 seconds and there was no answer or anything.... They have rung me several times after 5pm over the last 2 or so weeks.
My number is supposedly on the Do not call register and i changed phone companies and requested my number not to be listed...

Had calls also. If they are researchers like someone suggested, they are still allowed to call people on the do no call register.

I rang the number back and it said something about being a researcher.

just had the same number ring me,, followed by an unrecognised mobile number,,, why do they bother wasting out time

Identified themselves as from the 'National Crime Prevention Agency' and wanted to do a survey with anyone between the ages of 18 and 35.

I told them to no thanks, but they kept on calling

They keep calling everyday. I am on the donotcall register.
Doesn't appear to be doing any good though. Who is policing this register.Do something about these pests.
