Just had a cal from this number. Polite man saying he was representing a charity I donate to, trying to make it easier for me to donate in small amounts monthly etc. When questioned about who he actually works for, it was not the charity mentioned but a different company altogether. When questioned directly about whether this company receives trailing commission on my proposed monthly payments he tried hard to evade the question until I said "just answer yes or no" he relented with quite a high % of the actual donation. Lesson = don't ever sign up for monthly charity donations to callers like this or people in the street saying they a representing a certain charity. Up to 40% of your donation goes to this company, not the charity. Misleading and deceptive conduct!

I previously got a call from (02) 9188 2360 and I didn't answer. These people are probably marketers or call centres for charities. They do not leave messages on your message bank. I put a block on this number on my mobile and it seems that the machine sensed the block and rang from the same number increased by one i.e. (02) 9188 2361. I've put a block on this one as well and the machine will probably do the same next time. I'll just keep blocking them.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER phone them back. All it does is confirm your phone number and you'll keep getting calls. They also use the number ending in 60, 62, 63, and 64. Probably more, but those are the ones I've received calls from so far and have blocked.

I just received a call from this number. Last week it was RSPCA who called me asking for funds. Now I can see they have shared my information with other charity organisations grrrrr!

Hello John. The company - Mondial in this instance - don't receive commission from charity gifts. They do however receive a one-off fee - for each call, or in some instances, per supporter who makes a committed gift. Organisations use specialist agencies because it is a more cost effective way of asking supporters to give monthly. Agencies retain passionate teams of experienced fundraisers - which is too expensive for most charities to do themselves. Monthly gifts are important because they give the assurity of donations month-to-month - enabling them to react to emergencies or plan for changes in demand. I hope this understanding of regular gift fundraising and your experience hasn't eroded your trust in your favourite charities.

Same as above - started on 9188 2360 last week, incremental increases started Monday - just keep ignoring and blocking. Would love to know how high their number range goes so I can proactively block.

I received 5 (unanswered) calls, each on a different number increasing by one each time. The first was on Wednesday, then Thursday, Sat, Mon and today. I'm glad I was able to find out what was going on here. I will answer the next call and tell them I am not interested.

I called back number (02) 9188 2361 reached voicemail of a company called montreal fundraising, base on a voicemail they work with a number of charities.

I too received a call on Friday (19/06/15) from (02) 9188 2360 and after checking on here who it was as it is a Sydney based number. I blocked it after seeing the comments.
They have just called me on the (02) 9188 2361 number today, Monday, 22/06/15.
Blocked this number also.
Trying to think what charity I gave my contact number to lately, RSPCA (in May) and Brotherhood of St.Laurence (in April).

I didn't recognise the number so I let it go through to my message bank. They did not leave a message.

Unlisted number asked for Chantelle. Then said he would take me off the list! Wierd.
