A call from this number by a woman who could not speak English mentioned a car accident. I hung up on the caller.

I was just called by a guy with a very strong Irish accent claiming to want to talk about a car accident I had earlier in the year. I've not have a car accident for over five years so it's obviously a scam.

I didn't recognise number so didn't pickup.

Yep, the car insurance scam thingy. Told him he was an idiot, that I had never had an accident and hung up. Also getting calls from 8103 3070 and 8188 3812. Aggghhhhh

Scam caller. Says you've been involved in a car accident. He hung up very quickly when I told him I would report him to the police.

Yep, same here.... Endless calls from this number everyday.... I sometimes answer and they say nothing.... I call back and it's says number not in service
Ridiculous......

I just get all these calls appearing on my mobile. The ACMA are at FAULT by not introducing a system to BLOCK these calls. Calls coming in would be identified and if made from inside Australia the full weight of Australia LAW would be bought down on them. If international call, they would be BLOCKED at the border. If they try to use equipment inside Australia to beat the crackdown, this equipment they would loose. You need a SOLID TECHNICAL SOLUTION to the PROBLEM.

Got the call but no answer. I think it's a scam. Better not to mention your name or give any personal information over the phone.

This number has called several times and I have not been here to answer it and so I have ignored it but it called again today and I answered it and after some time a female voice clearly in a call centre due to all the background noise said she was ringing in me about the serious car accident I had 12 months ago, I told her I'd never had an accident in my whole life in a car and she was talking rubbish and I hung up. I have now blacklisted the number.

Have had a couple of calls from this number. This afternoon I actually spoke to a male (obviously from overseas somewhere). He started on about a motor vehicle accident. I said I am not into scams and terminated the call.
