Had this number call me 4 times in one day - rang back on private as I suspected it to be a spam and it says user busy. Think this relates to a competition I entered - block number on iPhone is my advice

I just received a call from an Indian from Winning Choice off an (08) number. I may have entered at some stage with a change to win so don't think it was complete spam but when they called they were trying to get me to sign up my details to all these other providers & while saying no to each one he just hung up on me. Not directly spam but not a good business either & I'd prefer them blocked.

Just got a phone call from a man on this number. He addressed me by my name and started his spiel that he was from Winning Choices and I had a chance to win this or that and on he went. When I asked where he got my details from he went quiet and mumbled something about it was on a sheet he had. He was well spoken with what seemed like an African or Indian accent and I told him I wasn't interested and he thanked he and I hung up. Makes me wonder who our Telco's are selling our details to?

If you have entered a Compitition to win $300,000, your prize is 1,300,000 spamming emails and calls. Asked me to confirm my entry and to do a survey. I told them when I get my cheque for $300,000 in the mail and it clears, I'll do all the surveys they want. Needless to say I have not recieved a cheque......... or a phone call since. YAY!!

2 calls from this number, asking for verification that I had been in a traffic accident in the last year or two. When I asked what level of govt he was with, I had to prompt Federal, State, Local, caller stated Federal and then I asked location Level 8, 20 George Street Sydney, Told caller that he needed to get his information right and if this was a legitimate call to have someone else call me back. No response.

Got calls from multiple numbers. I blocked them. Then the emails that came. I attempted unsubscribe but that didn't work. Luckily the email I provided was not my main one for work but I entered a competition and said no to everything but obviously that was just enabling more tracking software to be installed.

How many effing complaints do they need before they are looked into?

Winning Choice is the caller, I have not entered ANY online comps, therefore them telling me I have and all I have to do is complete a survey to win, well I know they are full of sh*t.

Didn't answer. They called me twice from this number. Then they called me from a different number! At least I will assume it was them, too much of a coincidence for it to not be, as it was another NSW number (I'm in WA and rarely get calls from NSW). Their alternate number is (02) 8599 0131. I've added both to my block list (not sure if it'll work, never used that function on my phone before)

Just received a call randomly from them while at work. They kept me on the phone for five minutes. I kept telling them that I needed to go as I had work to do. He would not listen and I was temped to hang up.
I am not sure what I was saying NO to but I kept the phone away from my ear while searching to see if they were a scam.
I cannot find any further information on Winning Choice. I am concerned they have my details as I am on the do not call register. I want to make a complaint as I dislike telemarketers and I am unclear how they got my information.

I just received one of these calls also. The person on the phone was polite and not rude when I said I didn't want to go any further but I couldn't find out what Winning Choice is and when I 'may' have entered to receive products etc. He's still putting me in the draw to received $200k so I should be really rich really soon............yeah, right! I checked this website while he was on the phone to me.

There is a legal requirement regarding the amount of calls that can be made per day. Just got one yesterday. My household is on the do not call register.

This is what happens when Telstra send work off shore. Wait and see what happens with you banking and medical details when they go off shore too !

I missed a call from (02) 9037 0830 and I returned the call a few minutes later. If you have entered a competition online; whether is to WIN A CAR or WIN $300,000 CASH or something else, they are callers from the competitions calling you for a survey/questionaires and I did that.

I told him I am sceptical after asking him where are they from? when he told me they are a Australian Company but he is based in South Africa and he speaks with a British accent. He said he tried to speak to sound like an Australian and I told him he is nowhere close to sounding like Aussies. Before hanging up the phone, he said thank you and I replied thank you in Afrikaans, he gone silent for a while. I then said to him "you said you are from South Africa, you should understand what I just said". He just said bye and hung up.

If you do not want them to call you again, block the number. That is if they called you to your mobile. I'm not sure whether you can block the number from your landline's phone. Otherwise, you might have to call Telstra to block them.

Had several calls from this number over the past week, up to 3 xs a day. I have an answering machine so if they leave a message I return the call..these guys never do.
Last night 2 calls, hubby answered the 2nd time and actually spoke to the woman, she claimed his wife (me) had entered a competition and they needed to speak to me. He then asked me if I had, I said not that I was aware of and she replied ok, well we won't call her again?
I wonder if they will, well I'll know by the end of day won't i
