They tried this on my mum just then, she thought it to be a bit suss, so she gave me a call. Dodge as hell

Recorded message stating from centrelink pension increase if i was on a pension press 1 if i wasn't press 2 did neither just hung up.

Called my elder mother and advised something with pension and asked to call this number as it was Centrelink number from canberra. Dont engage - total scam.

Same as above calls received, didn't answer and caller left voice mail message. Don't receive a pension! Another one listed under scammer on my landline which I never answer for this reason.
They are so dumb, call caem 4.30pm day before public holiday - Anzac Day .. !!!

message was left to call (02) 8488 1031 I could make out a couple of words but one was Centerlink. The message was left on a Sunday.......haha as if they would be working ....on a Sunday that is

Automated call pretending to be Centrelink calling about aged pension increase. A scam.

We got a call from this number, Centrelink will text and email but will not leave weird messages, also the number is incorrect as Centrelink are 1300 numbers. This is a scam.

Caller said they were from Centrelink regarding an increase in Pension and that I had not responded to their many letters. I know Centrelink would not call me. The callers (a woman then a man) sounded foreign. And Besides, they are called the Dept of Human Services now!! These scammers should do some research before they harass innocent people.

I received a message from this number. Said to call Centrelink. I immediately checked this site--and thank you all -- you confirmed my suspicions.

Computer generated voice, for sure another Indian scam!!!!!

My Grandmother was called. She was told that she had been paid less than her pension allowance. She was requested to buy iTunes gift cards and give the codes in order to get the money she was owed. It was a low enough amount that she was “owed” that it seemed legitimate.

all the above it is a scam government knows about now i got the same took it further they will be shut down

I am sure lots of vulnerable people will get caught by this sort of behaviour, but I am not one of them. I do get a pension, but it sounded too dodgy to me.

Left a message on my machine, very hard to understand, sounded like a computer generated voice. Said payments have increased, call this number. I didn't - sounded very dodgy.

got a message to say the pensions have gone up and to call this number if you receive centrelink. Scam!! I dont receive either!

I had an automated message left on my answering machine from this number. It told me to call back if I was receiving any sort of centrelink payments. It definitely felt like a scam to me!

Had a call from this number and recording told it was from Centrelink and my pension rate was going up

The recorded message said pension rates had been increased and left a return number- I do not receive a pension. When I called the number back a man with an Indian accent claimed to be Centrelink and tried to get lots of ID documents from me, I strung him along a bit.
They are targeting pensioners by the sounds of it- beware
