NIB Health Insurance Not sure why I keep getting calls (at work oddly enough). When I answer, they hang up. When I don't, they don't leave a message either. It's a mystery. I was starting to get these calls, so I took the time to call NIB on the (02) 8315 3080 number they called me from. After getting through the digital switchboard, I got onto a lovely young lady named Emily .. Emily is from Newcastle. We had a nice LONG chat about the impropriety of call centre staff phoning people and leaving the line dead. It was really quite amazing, she agreed with me on all counts and took note of the number that the call was coming from. Emily was exceedingly polite and trying to be as helpful as possible. I must admit I rambled for a long time and probably ran over the same data points more than once, but given that the call was being recorded, I'm certain that if NIB are interested in identifying and fixing the problem that they have more than enough information to run with.
But just in case .. I would encourage everyone receiving these calls to take the time to call Emily and inform her of the problem with the empty phone calls coming in. She seemed a real darling, very sincere, polite and kind .. you will no doubt enjoy chatting with her.
As people dutifully concerned with the failures in the NIB call centre, it would seem the least we could do for them.
Private health cover sales call. NIB is the insurance underwriter, Quantas Assure is the name of the product. Possibly Quantas has sold a customer database, and "notified" us of this by burying a disclaimer in the terms of service when boarding. Interesting. We've just left NIB for another health fund. I wonder if it's them wanting to know why we left? NIB apparently from visiting their website Nib insurance Caller: NIB Healthfund....
I only went on their website to make an inquiry, I have already spoken to them.. I told them I am not interested and they still call me back... there must be a rule against their extreme behavior constantly calling and waisting my time.....
Left a voicemail that said it was NIB and that I need to call them back. I’m already with Nib and know that they are Newcastle based and when they have called legitimately before it’s been a 49 number whereas this is obviously a call centre in Sydney. So I’m not calling back. I have had lots of missed calls and stacks of spam calls so I’m assuming this is another one and won’t be answering. This is obviously what's referred to as a predictive dialler, and is set up incorrectly. These numbers are shared across the companies that use the software. it calls x number of people assuming only y will pick up then connects them to a call centre agent. If too many people pick up and not enough agents can take the calls, it hangs up on you (abandons the call). many industries have targets for how many abandons are acceptable.
this is thoroughly annoying when it happens, and as someone that works in a call centre it's bad practice that can be easily managed by changing a few settings.
also I'm already with NIB stop calling me!
Caller: NIB Health funds
I only went on their website to make an inquiry. This happen if you leave you phone number on their website...
Caller: Guessing NIB
Just changed from NIB have blocked number
Just called on both my mobile and landline (I think) within seconds of each other and I am a NIB customer. Nothing there when I answered both. Very annoying. Blocked the number. Call every day and hang up when answered. They don't leave a message either. Viewing previous comments, did recently start a quote for health insurance with NIB - like others on this site. Caller: NIB
Frigging annoying. I am already as member of NIB, yet keep getting this robo call every day whilst I am at work. Rang the 13 number and told them to stop calling. Blocking number
Caller: Seems like NIB
Just wanted to say that everyone says it’s NIB (I haven’t answered as their times are so inconvenient) however, I went on for a quote online but didn’t finish the process and clearly they’ve decided to try follow it up as a ‘lead’ I suppose. I abandoned the quote when I saw they were more expensive. So annoying. Had a feeling this would happen. Youi did the same to me too
Caller: Clearly NIB with the comments here
4 calls so far in the last month, as everyone who has comment the similar instance of once answered you're hung up upon.
NIB - this caused me to leave my private health and move elsewhere. To cancel this was also another event on its own, going through an overseas call centre is always painful. Especially when they're incompetent!
Same as all other callers - it is getting bloody annoying to say the lest! Who gives these organisations the ok to call numerous times? Waste of time and must cost them a fortune - ah that's right they get phone calls as a tax deduction so they really don't care how many times they call! ATOP should investigate! Caller: NIB
NIB keep leaving me a robomessage. I am assuming they want to sell me more insurance as I am already a member and have not missed any payments. I have blocked the number
Caller: NIB INSURANCE
I didnt give NIB permission to call me once let alone ten times.
