It seems like they have a very big scam going on I also received a message on my home phone demanding that I call back or have my solicitor call regarding a tax fraud case which I have never ever heard of and never had any such case.......sick people trying to make money illegally.......Hope they get caught.

3 messages ere, thankfully found this first b4 wasted time calling back. Funny thing is I am carer for my aged sick father and both of us get very low income and pay no tax. But it caused lot of concern with us. Did not call back.

The Indians doing their round of tricks again. Before was the virus on your computer now you its tax evasion. Just ignore them. Bloody pest.

Hi Guys, This number (02) 8310 7732 has been calling me too. SCAM ALERT . Got the same "Indian like"voice of a male asking to call back with a lawyer for an arrest. They have left many voice messages to my dismay. fraud!!!!!

I have the same man calling. He has left 2 numbers to call back on (02) 8310 7732 and then this one which was very very aggressive and the number he said to call back on was (02) 6064 2034. Who should I report it to?

Our office just received this call too. Obvious scam. As if the tax office would call with that message! Do not reply or engage.

I'm quite sure this is a scam. I have blocked my number and called this number and similar numbers, had the line diverted overseas (dial tone tells me so) - the dopey Indian sounding man can't even speak English correctly, does he really think most Australians are as stupid as him??

Exactly the same experience as Nicole. Left 3 messages on my phone. Rang back and they claimed to be ATO. Asked my name. I refused and said if they were ringing me they should know it. The man (foreign accent) then told me charges were being laid and I would be arrested. He became abusive, swearing and yelling. I hung up. Have reported it to ATO as a scam.

11.20am they left a demanding msg on the answering machine, don't know how these people get away with these fraud calls.....

Just had the same call 10 mins ago and he left a msg on our answering machine. I didn't answer the phone because the caller ID came up Anonymous & I never answer those. Of course I'm not calling back 😆

This number has been calling me for a few days, at least 3 times each day. They say they are from the ATO and it's regarding tax evasion. Sometimes it's a person and other times its a recorded message.

Caller claimed to be from the ATO. The call was in reference to a lawsuit for tax evasion and tax fraud. He left the above number for the call recipient or recipients lawyer to contact him.

Same thing as above. Very aggressive and rude when told that I would follow up this "claim" with the taxation office myself.

This is the third time today these people have called to tell me to call them or to get my attorney to call them. 9am, 11am and 3pm!!! I rang back but blocked my caller ID from them and wouldn't you know it!!! They would not answer the phone. It is a scam to say you are up for tax fraud!

Received a call a few weeks ago saying we were being taken to court for tax fraud. Informed the Tax Office. They were aware of the scam. Today they called, leaving this number, saying we need to get our attorney to call them back on this number.

Have been called twice now. The first time I didn't pick up and they left a threatening message.


The second time they just hung up.
