Phone call man saying he is from the tax office and you need a lawyer as you have tax fraud claim against you.
Told him it was a scam and he starting swearing like a trooper not a nice phone call at 9 a.m in the morning

Caller- a man with Indian accent left messages on my phone stating I should call back or have my lawyer call as it is to do with tax fraud. The taxation office will contact you via mail and in my case it would go to my accountant. FRAUD! I think!!

29/9/16 still hppening. I guess they play the numbers game. At least sites like this reduce their take.

Got a message on the answering machine about tax fraud. Need the money in the carpark. Told him to come and collect it. He never turn up. We were with the police to catch the caller.

Still happening in SA. Message comes through without voice activation.

The phone company should know where the call com from? Which address and from whom? If the police cant find them then call the is.

This number calls nearly every day,it is a scam and should be reported to police...

Same as above. Left 4 messages on my answering machine. I called back on a weekend and no one picked up the phone. Definitely not ATO as it would have gone to an answering service if so. Thanks everyone who commented. It certainly helped.

They left a message on the answering machine. They did not mention any name, just said that we were wanted for tax evasion and to call back ASAP on the number. I think they're the frauds.

Another 2 "Tax Fraud" calls today. If this is an Australian number, as it appears to be, surely someone has authority to disconnect it.

16.09.16 Indian bloke claiming to be from the tax office. Told him he was being recorded and I had his number. Started to carry on like a twat

Caller had an indian accent that claimed he was from ATO. The call was in regards to tax claim frauds and that either myself or my accountant should contact him with this number.
When we labelled him as a scam, he was aggressive and begin giving threats.
On the 4th call from this number, a female spokesperson called with the same claims.

This number contacted my partner parents house and left a voicemail (for my partner) advising he or his lawyer are to call them back in regards tax fraud.

ATO send mail and DO NOT leave threatening voice mails

Same message but I took it a step further n rang them up.. They said they from tax office but not really when you start questioning them..the bloke use some choice swear words, started counting and hung up..an Indian guy by the accent.

Same Indian voice again, told him not to call my number ever again... he never got a chance to complete his spiel...

The Indian caller just called me from a withheld number, which i dont snswer. Went to answer nachine. Said he was from ATO, in a rather rude voice....demanding I call back immediately, on the above number. Said nothing else. My number is silent and on the do not call register.....so much for that....i dont have any issues with the ATO nor do they with me.
