The caller sounded like he was in a very noisy room, so probably a call centre, and, as they tend to do, spoke quickly in a foreign accent about what sounded like 'death duties'. I asked for clarification and he became flustered and hung up. Definitely spam, possibly phishing or a scam.

Keep calling and when I answer it says "goodbye" and then hangs up.

Keep a whilstle handy - keep the nos beside your phone and if it is one of them blow like hell

I'm guessing as it's an '8' number that it's a Skype call. No message, but same time daily. Frustrating as I'm on DNC register.

Prick got my mobile number somehow the c***.

Said he wanted to know if we had solar panels.
I said; no we have a diesel generator.
He said; so you are connected to the grid
I said; no we have a diesel generator as the grid is stuffed.
His reply; OK and then hung up.

Yep, Solar Panels rebate scheme scam - told them "No" , hung up, and she rang again 20 seconds later. Hung up again.

Scam. Had name and address right and the speel was I was entitled to thousands of dollars in a power rebate. I said I wasn't interested but then he rang back. I asked for more info before I would answer any questions. He got pretty indignant and hung up.

Indian(?) guy saying he was calling about homeowners and family tax benefits. I told him I wasn't interested and he said "ok byeeeeeeeee" and hung up. Blocked!

Have answered over 5 of the 20+ calls from this number this month. They claim to be 'wealthfinancial' and are offering services related to "tax for my investment property". Basically they ignore anything you say, read some scripting and try and get you to answer finance related questions. where ever I ask for the website address or to escalate the call - its terminated.

Have had several missed calls over the past few days. Finally decided to answer and got some guy in a very noisy call centre, spoke to fast to understand where he's from but didn't matter because I told him to take my number off their list and stop bloody calling. Will report it to DNC but I've been told before if they're calling from offshore there's not much that can be done to stop them
