exactly the same phone call today claimed to be Daniel Smith and his Department Managers Rose Brown and Peter Clarke they have all info of my partner but not DOB. I replied that they should have this on file, He replied he need it for security reasons I then gave a false DOB He wanted to know if there where any middle names too.

These bastards have been annoying my 87yr mum in law for over a week now.
Good indian name: Peter Clarke from Fed Gov bank reclaim dept, same amount $7268.

I reserved a call from this number they told me that I will get a cheque of $ 7268 from the government because I have been overcharged by my bank , but I have to pay them $350 first at any post office. I Told theme to tack that amount from the total amount. They end the call . Watch out please

Just had the same caller harassing my daughter for my details! They're stooping very low.... warn your children not to give these people any information and hang up.

Just received a phone call and decided to look up the number and got this page. The wanted my date of birth which I refused to give them and told them the bank I wished the cheque to be drawn from was the Reserve Bank:). When I rang the number no-one answered. As they somehow already had my name and address - I think they were fishing fo a date of birth for an identity stealing racket

Just had these scam just ring me. Same amount $7268. Something has to be done about these people.

I just rang the number and spoke to peter clark (totally false name for an indian and he wanted me to go to the post office and get a western union money order for $230 so the solicitors will release my check for $7268.00
why hasent the phone number been stoped

I got the same call today from John, (and incredibly I am "entitled to exactly the same refund: $7268!!!).
I gave my DOB but no bank details. When I didn't ring the Dept Manager on the number, John rang back wanting to know why!
I'd be interested to know how it works too.

Just had them call me with the same story just a few minutes ago. I was suspicious and did not ring back the number.

Why has this phone number not been put out of commission, surely with this many complaints? Why are these people still operating?

When I did not call back he rang again and said I had to ring immediately cheque was on his managers desk awaiting postage.

I was also told to call back on this number, and was given EXACTLY the same names to speak to, AND amount of money supposedly owed to (previous holder of my phone line)

Rang hubby today. They already had our address and full names. Bastards. They didn't ask for money though. Said they would Post a cheque. did ask hubby for his birthdate and asked which bank.....he told them. Hubby is 70 years old and not accustomed to these scams

these people keep calling my grandmother, i have answered the phone and they are so rude they wont tell me where they are from and keep hanging up on me, they keep telling her they have money to refund her and need her bsb and as account number, i gave them all fake ones and went along with it they gave me a refference number and told me to call another number, i did quoted the reference number and he said thanks and hung up.

My Hubby got a call , was given a reference number , quoted the same refund amount $7268 & given the same manager names of Peter Brown & also Rose Brown. He didn't give any info to them & we haven't called back yet but I don't think I'll bother with this obvious scam.

My 90 year old mother just rec. the same phone call they want shooting reported it to the federal gov. Fiancé dept. hope they do ring back they will get more than they expect sum of the earth.

I've got the same phone call on 19 Dec and spoke to a manager ( Indian accent named Peter Clarke ) asked me to ring back, I ring back today no one answer. They got all my detail, who know where to report this SCAM?

I was also told just 50 minutes ago that I am to get a refund of $7268. I gave them DOB, BSB, Bank Name and Account # (just made up). This guy then gave me a reference # and asked me to ring Rob Brown or Peter Clarke on (02) 8091 3550. Rang the number and talked to a guy with an Indian Accent who claims to be Peter Clark. He asked me for reference #, when I gave him the ref. #. He just hung up.

These disgusting scam artists keep ringing my 82 year old mother harassing her for her banking details etc. I just wish I could climb down the phone and sort them out for good.
