I was suss about the call... Was confident that it was probably legit, but I said I would call Citibank directly. They mentioned that it was an "extension of the promotion", or something along those lines. They insisted that they would call me back, but didn't. The following day I called Citibank; unfortunately no notes were left about the call I received, however, they could see that I had previously been on a promotional rate and offered a very nice deal.

Had the same call from this number 22nd January. I confirmed with Citibank the next day that these calls ARE NOT from Citibank Australia, and that CitiBank will only call you on request, or if your over withdrawal limit, or overdue paying a bill. So calls from this number are BOGUS and you should just hang up, or take the call and tell them they are being recorded!
Cheers

Received a call from (02) 8073 3390 on my mobile number, confirmed my full name, they advised they wanted to give me an update on my account details and make sure it was all correct on their system (claiming they are from Citibank). They then prompted me for my date of birth.... I then advised them my online details are correct so I don't understand why i need to update you over the phone. They then said that's fine, thank you and hung up the phone. I find this very suspious. I would never give any details over the phone or pin's or date of birth to someone who rang me. I would only feel comfortable giving out account details to someone I have rung up. This tackic is the same as clicking on an email link advising to update your customer details, you just don't do it. You go directly to the site and don't click on any links.

annoying but legit.
Here is a tip for Citibank. Dont cold call and give the impression its dodgy. Not a good look for a large multinational Company. apparently one of the biggest in the world. Dont care about offer when the look is dodgy.

Got a call from this number. Very suspicious and told them to get lost. If its legit, they'll contact me again. Checked the Sydney Citibank number and it does not correspond. Reported this to the Feds.

I have been receiving calls from this number, nearly every day. I answer the phone and it either hangs up straight after I answer, or today it asked me to "Hold Please, while I transfer you". I tried to call that number and it just disconnects each time. I'm starting to get very cranky!

Same as Marie above. Get the call everyday around 6.30 pm. Garbled voice can't understand a word. Now I hang up, but very annoying

I have also received calls from this number. It's not a scam. They tried to sell me a credit card which is probably just as annoying.
