had the same scam phone call today from indian /paky accent he became verbally abusive when i asked him to post the claim form to me to claim called me stupid & why was i being so suscpicious gave the same phone number & address as to others mentioned 26 Lee st chippendale sydney (02) 8003 4335 the same amount $3647 was mentioned about being over charged bank fees police & my bank were informed of this call

A very familiar story, I had a Charlie Johnson phone me to claim my $3647.00 ( funny everyone has the same amount the bank owes!!), I had to phone Michael Snyder with my special number, to receive my cheque from the post office. They gave me the phone number of (02) 8091 6311.
When I didn't phone straight away, I got the call back from "Charlie". He become very stern when I told him I had rang fair trading NSW and neither person had been heard of!! Was confirmed as a SCAM from the correct authorities!! Please be careful, don't give out any information, thankfully I didn't!!! Let your family and friends know so they are prepared to HANG UP!!!
" Charlie" gave me the address of 26 Lee Street, Chippendale, NSW and said I could come to his office and pick the cheque up personally tomorrow..... Hello I'm 10 hours away!!! But I had to tell him when and what time I would be there..... Lol

Got that call just now - $3647 entitled to me from bank fees - though she was going to send it to me in a cheque format. But wanted to know which bank I dealt with???? How did you come up with the figure then???? And why do u need that to send me a cheque? So stupid

They have a new number (02) 8003 5766. Got to be the most stupid operators ever. Guy with heavy asian accent introduces himself as Harry Smith, which he seemed to have trouble spelling, had to be fair dinkum. Proceeded to explain to me that could receive some $3000+ dollars from bank fees. He asked me who was my bank, I said that I have several and asked him which bank owed me the money. He claimed many banks owed me money. He gave me a reference number that I was to keep secret- JP207. He also gave me their phone number where I was to ring back to his manager Paul Smith along with there addree 26 Lee Street Chippendale. Could it be his brother? Can you believe that when I rang the number it was Paul Smith who had an asian accent just like the first person. After instructing me to go to the Post Office and get a Western Union Money Transfer Form he aske me to ring back when i had it. A little later he rang me to see who I was and why I rang him. He seemed confused as to whether he was Michael or or Paul. I will not be going to the Post Office so I wonder how many times they will be calling me?? Perhaps I will suggest that I call into their office to collect the money.

My bloke daid he was Marc Jones, thick accent. I was entitled to $3647 and how soon could I get to the Post office.I asked for an internet address. When I asked if I could phone him back he got aggitated that there were a lot of other people who worked there. How dare I not believe him. This had been happening since 2007. I hung up. Thank goodness that I had the internet up and I got onto this site, confirming my fears.

Yes another one here - Alex rang on behalf of Dept Money & Savings saying he had $3647 from overcharged bacnk fees to be collected at the post office. Gave me a Ref# and asked me to call his manager Paul Johnson on (02) 8226 4304. Told Alex there were too many numbers - he brushed it over.
They had my details and address - I gave the my mobile - DONT TELL EM ANYTHING - thought it was too good to be true - pricks!

I got a number of calls from this indian accent guy and told the similar story about $3647 story. Told him a few time to back off but he tried again and again. Today when I told him to hang up he became very rude. A SCAM.

I just recieved a phone cal from an indian accented man who claims he was from a company called money saving expert located in sydney 26 Lee St, Chippendale, funny he say that because his number was coming up as overseas.... CLOWN. He then told me i had over $3000 bowing to me in bank fees or something and gave me a application number saying i could claim it back at any post shop, he then told me to ring a jenny wilson his so called finance manager so she could release the money on (02) 8006 1712. When he got off the phone i thought it was abit suss so looked up online and found this site and speak of the devil he calls back wondering why i havent rung .jenny up i then tell him im looking online and hes a big fat scam and not to ring me a again you f***en A-hole.

I also Got a call from an indian accecented Male who told me I am owed $3647.00 due to over charged bank fees. He then proceeded to tell me that I had to call Paul Johnson on (02) 8005 6469 to confirm details on which post office to pick my money up from!! Stupid me gave him my mobile number, so I will just wait to see if this guy actually rings me back. Oh dear, he rang me back and told me I need to go to the post office with my phone, licence and $290, when I questioned him he hung up on me!!! SCAMMY ARSEHOLES!!!

We have been getting calls for the last 4 days after applying for a creditcard with Virgin, funny that! The number comes up as overseas or private but when asked, we are from Sydney, yeh right. Department of money saving expert, sure. Told us we have $3647 owed to us by banks as well. I took the last call as my husband was not home, I played along but when he told me he had money for me, i asked how do you know who I am as you haven't addressed me by name so how do you know you have money for me? The Indian accented man then got very rude, asking me if I charged $1000 dollars a night and did I want to meet him, I said give me your name and number and I will call you back. He got really nasty then and I told him the call was being recorded and the australian federal police were investigating. i then told him to politely F off and hung up!

i got a call from a women Jenny something couldn't understand her she wasn't very well versed in english any way she asked for my mobile and after many attemps i gave the number she rang me on then she gave me an registration number to collect money from the post office because i would not give my bank account details (silly women) Then i had to ring Shaun Russell on (02) 8006 9194 who apparently was the accounts manager poor bloke if he even exist after a fw calls i gave up still no response from Shaun nice try girlie

We're ALL entitled to $3647 :) LMAO.I won't be able to get thru to "Mrs Jenny Wilson" today, cos "Kevin John" will have her line running hot :oI told him I was shy about telling people how old I am, then gave him a dead mobile #I reckon when this company interviews for recruits, they should choose people called Kevin John whose accent is decipherable to the average Aussie householder ;)

I recieved a call from a man by the name of Larry Chase sounding Indian telling me he worked for Australian Government Ministry of Justice and that the banks owed me a sum of $3647.00 He then proceeded to ask me for my details I then replied that if he worked for the government he would know my details the man than became quite abrupt and abusive so I hung the phone up. BE CAREFULL PEOPLE THIS IS A SCAM

Got a call this afternoon from a "Michael Thomas" from "Debt Money Saving Experts" saying that my bank had overcharged me by $3647.00. Only trouble is I'm with a Credit Union.He then proceeded to confirm my details - name, address etc - and told me that when he hung up I needed to call (02) 8006 4494 and speak to his supervisor "Joe Marsh".I then needed to quote my reference number to confirm my identity and they would deposit the money into my nominated bank account..This number rang a bell - so to speak - so after he hung up I Googled it on the web and discovered it was a UK phone number and this was yet another scam.When I hadn't rung by the designated time "Joe Marsh" actually rang me, what a surprise. I told him I knew this was a scam, that there were no banana's today and to F##K OFF monkey. He just said OH......... and I hung up. What a great feeling.
