They are scam artists, I agree with the comments below.
They have persuasive scripts that the telemarketers use that create doubt in your mind as to whether you ordered.
Then the goods arrive.
Don't deal with them!

Received a call from "Emerald" at Retone, somehow she had my name already. Like others she stated that I had taken part in a survey and agreed to trial there toners. Said they wanted to send a bottle of wine of gift voucher as a thank you for supporting there company. They had the conversation recorded but the caller was clearly reading from a script. They wanted to send me out a special offer of 20 toners, to which I responded that we don't even go through 2 a year!. She said she could drop the order to two. I said I would need to talk with accounts (mainly on my part to check the pricing difference of our current company and get a bit more information on them), she quickly replied by saying they could send one rather than two if that helped. Finished by saying it would take 10-days to receive even though I said to hold off until I check. Thought it was odd so started googling and found this. I rang there Australian office to confirm that no order was placed and they seemed to accept my request but I guess we will have to wait and see. If anything does come I will be returning to sender and not accepting. All the staff now know to be aware of anyone who calls from this company.

Retone have been bugging me and my staff for months. Told me we had participated in a survey and won a voucher. Then went on to describe their product and quote prices. I asked for a price list or a web site but the girl said she couldn't provide either. I said I'd compare her prices with those we were already paying and get back to her. She proceeded to tell me she would send a sample of each colour I use. I said 'samples are ok - is it free?' she told me I'd be charged at a the 'discounted' rate already quoted. I reiterated my position - don't want anything until I compare with current provider and research Retone. She then told me the sample would be posted asap. I said forget it and asked if I still get my Dan Murphy voucher! No answer was forthcoming. Their website has no product available and they are as shifty as desert sand

Tried their toners. Absolute garbage quality. Phoned them as they said they would pick them up. That was 12 months ago. Lying scumbags. Dealt with a lady called jasmine. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!

I received some cartridges they sent the wrong ones. Tried to get my money back.Phoned them the lady said she would send me out some new ones,haven't received them. Do not deal with this company.

I have asked repeatedly to be taken off their call list. Their sales pitch is aggressive and forceful. I hung up on them once and they had the gall to call back and had no problem carrying on even when I said I was busy with customers!

Received the cartridges I said I would trial with an invoice - $25 each when the same crappy cartridges can be bought for $3.50 elsewhere. Sending them back and haven't paid. We will see what happens next.

My experience with retone has been extremely disturbing. Their current pitch involves calling businesses and convincing the business owner that they have taken part in a 'survey' a few months ago and as such have agreed to take a medium pack of 3 cartridges waiting to be sent out to their buisness ! They will tell you that they are longer lasting and premium quality which is also a lie !

THIS IS WHEN IT GETS REALLY DISTURBING!! ... They will then convince you that these cartridges are going to be released in all retail outlets shortly and that the cartridges are made in retones factory ! This is also false haha, the cartridges are cheap remanufactured generics from China and are marked up by retone so you pay premium prices ! You will be told you can return the cartridges if they don't work as part of the trial, this is also FALSE!

RETONE WILL NOT REFUND YOU IF THE CARTRIDGES DONT WORK!!!

Do not be fooled by these con artists ! Furthermore their repeat team will call you 2 - 3 months later insisting they gave you a bulk rate price for the cartridges and that they have the rest of your delivery waiting to be sent out despite you never agreeing to this or being told you where ordering the cartridges in bulk!

Its a eco supplies business. I run a small organic hemp shop in nimbin and use retones remanufactured cartridges as they are biodegradable and are earth conscious. I only save 5 or 10 here and there but its my little contribution to mother earth.

Scammers, they have sent toner cartridges to our business we did not order. Do not accept the deliveries from the courier, instruct them to return to sender.

Yes Retone are major scammers. Don't know how many times I have said I don't want product however they say that there are three more on order. Annoying and a rip off.

They are a toner and Cartridge and toner company Saved me $55 dollars. cartridges seem fine. works for me.

Total scammers. Rang my business saying they would send out gift vouchers to my address for something I never did for having a phone chat with someone ?
They said I had a phone chat with someone in September which i never did- totally confusing.

We just had a call from Australia saying they were short staffed at the NZ office trying to catch me out to order cartridges! They stared off by saying I did a survey and agreed to buy a starter kit for HP printers - which we don't have anymore! The conversation became increasingly awkward for them as they did not have their facts correct. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! As said above we don't need this trick selling method in NZ Go away!!
