Scam. Claim to be the ATO and that you've committed tax fraud and threaten arrest.

Received call from this number - Lady on the phone wanted my details and I hung up - Called and checked with ATO and they said it was not them wanting to talk to me - Obviously a scam

Totally a scam! don't answer, very rude! Threatened me that I owed money to ATO, a tax calculation miscalculated, they said that if I am not listening or disconeecting the conversation they have the arrest warrant. I could hear that many people at the background were busy on the phone as well! Gosh!!!!

Got a call from this number but didn’t pick it up. I want to search for the strange number first before I pick up the call.

When are these people gonna be arrested? Honestly....a scam is stealing.

ATO scam claiming tax debt, ignore

Caller: Fake ato.

Keep calling from different numbers. Scam.

Caller: Automated message: said ATO. Threatened arrest.

Automated message - not a real person. Said was ATO. Said that tax was due and this was a final reminder. Said to follow through with call to avoid subsequent arrest.

Cynical: Looking forward to increasing the high cost to legal system and jail, incidentally tax payer funded.

Call claiming to befrom ATO threatening further action and arrest if action is not taken. Tried to call back, got ‘used busy’

It was a recorded message saying my tax was illegal. I have a friend who is an ATO compliance officer, so have asked him to look into "(02) 6216 8600".

Voicemail was left claiming to be from ATO and advising i owed money and it was my last warning. Check my online account and dont owe anything. Thank god it was spam.

I got a call from this number twice in 2 days and didn't answer either as I've been told it's scam. I tried to call back just to see and it was 'engaged' and then hung up. My phone said 'call failure' - seems dodgy.
