The Commonwealth Fraud department called on this number after they texted advising my card had been suspended due to suspicious activity on my account. The text asked if I had made a particular transaction. They promptly rang me on this number after I replied to the text saying I had not made the transaction.
Legitimate.

Part of an elaborate phishing scam. This is the follow up claiming to be CommBank and probably attempting to validate your card information.
DO NOT REACT or RESPOND to any prompts or request from this number.

Received text from Commbank security about suspicious transaction on credit card. Received a call from this (02) 6189 2667 number after I replied to the text. The call went to a queue saying CBA fraud department. Once answered, the call was legit. Credit card had been scammed. They cancelled the card and re-issued a new one. Checked Netbank and card has definitely been cancelled. Received a follow up email from CBA confirming card cancelled and transactions will be disputed. Please note - if you ever aren't sure who you are talking to, and are worried about giving out identifying information, you can ask the person on the other end to verify they are CBA by sending you something via the Netbank app.

Genuinely Commonwealth Bank calling to check if they suspect suspicious activity on your card. I initially thought it was a scam and then double checked bank account where there was actually unauthorised transactions.

Definitely NOT a scam. This is the Card Fraud Department of Commbank. I had a text asking if I had submitted a payment to xyz retailer in the UK - I had to answer Yes/No. Straight away this number rang me, said it was the Commbank - but I searched this site at the same time, read it was a scam and hung up. I then sat in a queue for 1 Hr, 45 Min to speak to Commbank Card Fraud - they confirmed they had telephoned me. Yes, my card had massive fraudulent activity and has been cancelled now. Please don't say this is a scam - it deters people from answering legitimate calls

This number called stating it was from Commonwealth Bank fraud department. A woman left a message on voicemail saying that my account had been blocked due to suspicious activity. I was addressed by my full name, including my middle name, with an insert in a voice that could have been mine. I was asked to call Commonwealth fraud dept on 1300 361 841. I called the correct Commonwealth Bank Number 132221and eventually got through to someone who checked and told me that none of my accounts had been blocked and that there were no suspicious transactions.
I am interested that the comments on this number cover several years and some think it is genuine and some think it is not. I have not seen that before on this site.

Watch this space:

Got text messages from 0485 867 757 as a Commbank security alert that my card was blocked and asking if I just paid such and such. I checked my account and there were unknown charges pending so I responded no.
Got a call back from (02) 6189 2667 where a human left a message saying to ring 1300 361 841.
I locked my card then rang the number. They confirmed I had locked my card and they had begun the fraud dispute process. I got an email to my email address and my commbank inbox confirming.

Then I rang Commbank back using the website number to confirm that I had just spoken to Commbank and they had recorded the time of the conversation correctly.

I will keep an eye on my accounts though... update if things change for the worse.

I received a text message saying that I had paid for pizza hut in Portland Oregon, USA. Went to bank and they helped me. Was a scam, was asked to reply to text message by bank staff when I texted No. Phone call straight away from this number. Bank staff said not to answer call, which I didn't. She believed it to be a scam number. I am having my card replaced by the bank. So much inconvenience. Wonderful staff.
If you have any concerns go to the bank or ring their legitimate number. DO NOT TRUST ANYONE WHO RINGS YOU, SAYING THEY ARE FROM THE BANK, IT IS PROBABLY A SCAM. RING THE BANK.

Received a text about an APPLE.com transacton for $30.11. I replied text got put on hold. I hung up & called ComBank directly & it was legit & my card had been compromised & is now cancelled. Now I have to wait for new card. If in any doubt always call the bank number on your paper statement or from online account..

Same circumstances as most of the others in this thread. Suspicious amount being debited from credit card and questioned by "Comm Bank security" text. But is it actually Comm Bank security that sent the text? I called the (02) 6189 2667 number - but could not be sure this was Comm Bank. So hung up. When I logged on to Netbank, found that the particular credit card was no longer visible online. Have to therefore assume that this is a legitimate Comm Bank security following up on this fraudulent transaction to a Cyprus account? Decided to call 13 2221 to get put through to cards section/fraud - waited 40 minutes on hold, then cut-off!!! Now on hold again.

This is definitely not a scam. I just received a text, said no I did not pay for a transaction and received a call from (02) 6189 2667. Worried it was a scam I rang the Comm bank's fraud number on 132221 who confirmed that yes it was true, my card had been attempted to be used by someone other than myself from Longmont and my card would be cancelled and a new one issued. So please ensure you follow this up, this is definitely not a scam and I don't know why people above are saying this.
