When they ring me, there is no one there.

Had guy who called himself Eric who keeps ringing and harassing me. They told me they were from Telstra but of course they weren't. Very annoying and distressing.

Do not allow this caller access to your computer!

Telstra don't make these calls. The calls are from scammers dialling several numbers at a time.

They hang up on you because one of the multiple calls they're making answered just before you did.

They say they are from Telstra, Microsoft, Tax Office or some other organisation they think you're familiar with and trust.

I repeat. They are not Telstra technicians.

They are intent on stealing from you - money or identity information they can use later to get your money.

Don't give them one second of your time - they will scam you.

3 calls from this number today claiming to be Telstra Technical Dept. Similar story to everyone else. On advice from Telstra, I reported it to www.scamwatch.gov.au and fully expect more calls in the future because it seems nothing can be done to stop these annoying time wasters.

Call from this number. Silence on the line. Robot voice said goodbye and hung up. I expect to get a live call shortly. I just tell them we do not have internet.

Claim to be Telstra technical dept. calling about problems with your internet connection. Hang up.

Caller (Asian accent) purported to be from Telstra and asserted that I was downloading malicious software every time I went on the internet. I am with Telstra and caller did not have correct details as to what name the internet was connected in - obviously a scam.

'Telstra technical dept' in Miller St North Sydney - problems with my computer. Sounded very similar to 'Microsoft technical dept'

We've had a number of calls from a Private Number, claiming they are the Telstra Technical Dept asking about our internet connection. Today we received another one, this time this number showed up. We have contacted Telstra who advised to ask for their employer ID number. I asked for this today and they asked whether I had pen and paper, then they hung up. Apparently they try to get you to go online and then somehow get your banking details. Beware.
