Just received a call from this number, said they were Telstra Tech and escalated to 'Manager'. Then called me an idiot customer as I wouldn't follow instructions.

I have a whistle by the phone and when it's them I blow it as hard as I can right into the mouth piece!

Told me they were from Telstra and investigating some malicious activity on my line!

I answered the phone with "police headquarters" they hung up straightaway.

Tell these Indian cons to try halal kebab for a change. And then to convert to Islam !

Got a call from this number saying they are from Telstra,internet want me to go on computer to fix it.Must think silly not to know what they are up to .really sick of these calls.Done before blow trumpet into the phone .Or you could use a whistle.

Had this number call me twice claiming to be Telstra & there is apparently a problem with my internet, he wasn't happy when I told him my internet connection isn't with Telstra & he then abused me

Yep Telstra tech just kept them on the line for 15mins while then hung up, they then called back to abuse me

They called me saying they were the ato and I had been audited and had a tax debt that needed to be paid now and if I didn't the police would be at my door to start taking all my assets, I would loose my job etc. I believed them and I was in tears!
The man I spoke to was just horrible and so rude.

telstra tech ..scam scam scam ...i sked them for their name so i can ring telstra myself to verify..caller got angry..I rang Telstra and they said its a big scam going around

Self styled Telstra "technicians " ! Probably learnt how to scam each others' private parts first ! They're curry munching scammers all out for free money ! Just f*ck them up verbally over the phone and tell them no f*ckin' curries here ! Your best deal is to contact the ACORN Australia. ACORN is a cyber criminal fighting commission that does its best to track down scammers like these. The DNCR cannot really do much.

Same just received the call. Tell them that they're call is now being traced and referred to their local police. They quickly hang up.

The calls just keep coming, automatically diverted to spammer answering machine as fast as they come in but these people just won't give up.

Received a call from an "indian sounding" woman from Telstra saying that there was a problem with my internet connection and that they had detected that someone was trying to hack into my computer. I was then asked to start my computer and was then escalated to a man who wanted me to go to a web address so they could get into my computer to fix the problem.

I told them that this was bullsh*t and hung up. I know Telstra would NEVER do this sort of thing.

The number they called from was (02) 6172 8611

What I find frustrating is why Telstra or the ACCC cant stop this sort of thing from happening. It is not just a random event occurring to me, it is a highly organised effort to preying on peoples insecurities and their lack of understanding of technology.

You cant tell me that between Telstra and the ACCC that they do not know who these people are.

Stop putting out warnings that no one will ever see and just stop these rogues.

So sick of these idiots calling me. I tell them to get a real job and stop trying to scam money from people. Then I laugh at them. They don't like it when you laugh at them.

I'm sick of it - i have abused them yet they ring back every now and then. I told them to tel me my testra account number, even though i'm not with telstra, then i tell them to piss off..... feel sorry for the people who give them details.

Got a call from these guys told me i had a virus on my computer when i told them i don't have a computer they hanged up

I had a call from these guys recently, telling me someone was trying to hack my computer. She got confused when I asked her to tell me my IP address so I could confirm she had the correct computer...

Said they were Telstra Tech, very noisy background and very rude. Advised them the main holder was not here and they hung up.
