Recording from "ATO" stating a "warrant" has been issued and to avoid further legal problems, return call. Just BS scammers.

An automated message telling me that if I don't ring them back immediately that I will suffer serious consequences as a result.

They are back again! They called my home phone and mobile simultaneously with the same old message that I am about to be arrested for tax fraud.

Also revived this call today! Had no idea what to make of it as it all sounded very legit so I was very confused... when I questioned why I hadn't been sent anything about the money I 'owed' and asked which address they had sent it to, they gave me my parents old home address from years ago... said I 'nope I don't live there' he then quickly hung up...

Had the message, called back abused them. Blocked my number. Called again today and scammed him. Said I was from ATO and he blue up hahaha

Called me today, your house is under surveillance gave it right away, haha it still had me going for a second, when will they learn to employ someone who knows English, or has an intelligent understanding of our culture.

This number called with a digital lady voice telling me I was being watched due to not vaccinating (they didn't specify who or what) then said my house was under servallience and I was being watched... when I called back to find out there wa no answer

Ohh, they won't answer their phone... I wanted to have some fun with them :)
Gotta love having fun with scammers - Haven't they learnt that official business is never done over a phone?

Got the same identical call as below on 4 April on my mobile - a woman with a slight accent on a recorded message from the "ATO" saying an "affidavit has been filed against you" and that "your house [even though I live in a unit block] is under surveillance" and I should "call back immediately". I rang the number back just to see who it was and it was disconnected according to vodafone. Looked up scamwatch,gov.au and lo and behold there it was.

Just received the same call....they'll try anything!

I just received this message as well and also said my house was under survelliance. Got a fright as I had just walked in the door and thought what the hell. It was a recorded message :(

Same thing happened to me - the recorded message. I called back and the call centre sounding office and a man with a thick Indian accent said his name was "David Brown" and he told me I had a Tax Fraud issue and that I needed to arrange a solicitor immediately because he has a Court Summons for me in his hand. I said "Really? I find that really strange?" and then he hung up.

Just received a call - ignored it.
