Got a message from Roger Bennet from ATO told me to call this number. There was no ring tone

I received the same message from Roger Bennett - reported it to the actual ATO

Scammers tried to intimidate my 82 year old mother by claiming she had committed tax fraud

Received message on home phone to call Roger Bennet who claimed to be calling from the ATO and claiming I had a lawsuit filed against me for tax fraud and evasion. Had a similar call last week from someone whose English was poor asking for info in regard to the same matter. Hung up when I said I would need to have him put his request in writing and that I do not respond to such requests over the phone.

Rcvd a call at 7am from heavily Indian accented male saying they were Patrick from the ATO asking for my attorneys details as there was a lawsuit being brought against me due to their miscalculation. I was half asleep and baby was crying asked for callback number (02) 6140 3486. Attended baby, woke up and said what is this about sounds like BS. And was then threatened with you will believe it when we are knocking on your door!! a**holes

I got a message also to call Mr Roger Bennett from ATO who said he is investigating a tax fraud. I was suspicious because he had an American accent and said for me or my Attorney to call him. We don't call them Attorney's in Australia so anyone from the ATO wouldn't use that language. So I Googled the phone number and found Gary got a similar message. Definitely a scam.
