Like the above, I got a call from someone saying they were from the ATO but call was cut off, so I rang back. (Indian type voice) guy said his name was Kevin Jones from the ATO, I asked what it was about, he said would I hold while he enquired but the call ended a few seconds later.....think this is a scam...when have we ever got direct contact with a person when ringing a government phone number ha ha!

Just got a call as well - apparently a warrant has been issued for our arrest! wow! I didn't know I was soooo popular! Ar******les.

Received answering machine message from Jason O'Connor asking to call him on (02) 6140 3486 regarding tax fraud. Smelled a rat (indian variety) and googled the phone number which confirmed my suspicion of scam. Am disgusted that these low lives are allowed to breathe oxygen.

This Jason O'connor sure is a busy man! We received the same message threatening warrant for arrest etc.. He doesn't even say who he's calling for - and there's 3 taxpayers under this roof! Very dodgy!

Got the same message from (02) 6140 3486 saying it was Jason O'Connor and I was wanted for tax evasion and there was a warrant out for my arrest. Called back to which I asked who they were looking for. Wrong number. I knew this was a scam.

Just replied - Told them I knew it was a scam - He told me I was the most rude motherfu&?!r he had ever met. I replied sorry I didn't realize we had ever met. I don't know anyone from the ATO anymore. O well gotta have some fun. You can see how I identified myself from above. Poor guy didn't get the joke. Kept repeating my name back to me hahahaha

Same as all the others. Jason O'Connor from the ATO telling me there's a warrant out for my arrest, please ring back urgently on (02) 6140 3486. Hmm - more than one tax payer in this household so who are they supposedly after. What a scam!

Just had a message left on my machine telling me that there is a warrant out for my arrest for tax evasion need to call Jason O Conner on this number, very intimidating Indian man. hope the karma train gets you big time

Just got a call from this number. Even a person with a single digit IQ would know it was a hoax.

Call from Jason O'Connor from this number, definitely a scam. This number needs to be shut down. Same as above.

another variation on the number ... (02) 6152 8689 from a "private" caller ID
mechanical voice, same advice - you are being investigated blah, blah
needless to say, I haven't bothered phoning the number

Have had this same message and he also uses the number (02) 6140 3466 and (02) 6140 3474 - this is the third phone call and this one he was much more threatening and intimidating on my answering machine. Goodbye Roger Bennett

Got a message from Roger Bennet from ATO told me to call this number (02) 6140 3486 - investigating a tax fraud. I googled it - very helpful to find this postings

Got a call today from Roger Bennett. First thing to do - check google. Awesome - just another scammer confirmed.

Got a message on june 30
saying its Roger Bennett (indian accent) saying i have to call CDPP in canberra re tax fraud and that I have a legal lawsuit and i should call (02) 6140 3486

Came back from holidays to find 2 similar messages on our machine in a quite intimidating tone.
Thanks to all for posting as it has eased my wife and i's minds.

I also got a call from Roger Bennett saying he was from the ATO in Canberra asking me to phone (02) 6140 3486 regarding financial tax fraud. Glad to have found these postings on Google. Thanks everyone!

Intimidating message was left on my phone claiming to be Roger Bennett of the ATO Canberra re: Tax Evasion and Fraud and legal action had been taken and I had to ring back the number (02) 6140 3486 asap. Unfortunately this message was heard by a compromised person who was extremely distressed until I arrived to proved it to be a scam. Nasty bullying tone to this message.
