I open a story about the man how hit a kangaroo on face book and same thing happen to me a message came up and said this is microsoft its been detected that there is a virus in your computer the nuber that you are told to call is 1800 953 455 it gets you worried as you can not close it or go back so i just closed my computer and it seems fine im going to share this as it really worried me.

I got a message come up saying it was from Microsoft & if I shut computer down I will loose everything & my internet supplier will be advised to close down my connection due to non compliance. They wanted me to allow them access to my computer via Team Viewer & then wanted me to check my bank account details whilst they were on their. When I refused they said they would access my facebook & post nude pictures of me of the internet. They would not let me close Team Viewer by controlling my mouse so I disconnected the computer connection at the wall.

This is the number that comes up on your PC with a pornographic virus warning from Microsoft. All a scam. Called the number, for a bit of fun, and got the A***n guy riled up that he swore at me. Best thing is that they have to pay for the call.

Do not ring this number. It is a scam. Paypal will address customers by their name in all communications. Always check your Paypal account/s for recent activity, if you receive such a text notification.

Caller: Scam by SMS

Received an SMS from VT-Paypal. There is no phone number info or “from” data when reviewing the contact record. The message mentions this 1800 number as the number to call. Obviously a scam, but not the microsoft one, but something new. The SMS message I received is below:

[INFO] You have raised a request to send 487.00AUD to Mr. Jack Rayan, @pypI*inc on 01/19, if this is not you? DiaI us 1800 953 455 for cancelation.

Caller: VT-Paypal

Claims that I have a payment of $870 from my Paypal account. Call this number if not me.

Text message from this number. Saying PayPal issue and you have paid someone called Jack. Don’t use PayPal obviously some stupid scam from a specific ethnic group it seems

I received a message to call this number to avoid a mysterious paypal charge going through. They pretend to be a paypal call centre.
Scam

Message said that I requested to send (a large amount) to Mr. Rayan Khatri@pypl*inc. And am asked to call 10800 953455 immediately. This is a scam.

I got an SMS today with the header PAYPAL, saying I requested to pay some Indian guy $976.00, then advise me to call 1800 953 455 to cancel immediately. Clearly another scam.

Caller: Text Message

Received a text purportedly from PAYPAL saying "Your request has been raised to send A$976.00 to Mr. Rayan Khatri @pypl*inc, on 19/01, if not you? Reach us on 1800 953 455 to cancel immediately". After reading these complaints from 2018, I'm guessing the number has been sold and reused to try and scam people. One wonders how this is continuing to happen with today's technology. So sick of these scammers. I have blocked the number.

Scam Message from paypal I have requested to pay someone 876.00 and please call 1800 953 455 if I didn't request that.

Paypal messge and is saying you initiated a pay of $9xx to someone if not you call this number -- thanks this page was helpful
