Asked to call back urgently, this number is a scam call

Someone has been calling me on a different number 0485 817 489 , when I dint answer all the time ,, they dropped me a voice note asking me to call them back urgently on 1800 065 475 that they’re simply energy . Reckons a scanner . Don’t call .

Nothing outstanding with simply energy and message left for me was saying it was urgent that I contact them ….don’t think it’s legit when I rang recorded message requested my Date of Birth so I hung up ….scam call I think 😡

Left voice message to call 1800 065 475 but didn't state who they were. Saw this post when googling the number. Didn't call.

Text message regarding erroneous outstanding power bill purportedly from Simply Energy

Caller: 0485 817 489

Missed a call from this number 0485 817 489. They left a voice mail saying they were from simply energy and to call 1800 065 475 asap.

Though the prompt sounded suspicious, but upon checking I discovered the 1800 number is actually legitimate.

Called the number and got transferred to an agent who asked for my DOB and all that. He ended informing me about a recent electricity bill which I had forgotten to pay.

The number is legitimate .

First called twice on 045 817 489. Definite scam call.

They called me on new years day requesting I call them on this 1800 number urgently...

Rang my mobile twice and left a message after second call. Said they were from Simply Energy and to call this number urgently. Simply energy contacts me by email so I have ignored this call. Called the original number and got a recorded message indicating I would be transferred to Simply Energy customer service. Seems like a scam. I have blocked the number.

Legit Simply Energy number (left voicemail from different number 0485 817 489). You can see it listed on their bills. Stupid way to contact customers. For me it was because I had disputed their estimated bill and they rang as I hadn't paid the wrong bill.

I contacted Simply Energy today after being contacted by 0485 817 489, and they confirm that 1800 065 475 is legitimate.

received multiple calls and left a voicemail. It said with a machine voice to call back urgently on 1800 065 475. I called back and it sounded like a legit simply energy but then I got suspicious and checked google which led me here. I think its a scammer.

I had received a strange email or text (can't remember) about a final account which indicated a credit. Then a call from this number saying call them back. Giogled number and got to this site. Did not call back

Appears to be a correct contact number , but all my correspondence with Simply is by e-mail or SMS . Possibly a scam ???

As for Oct. 15th, above. Unfortunately Simply Energy will not confirm one way or the other without completing an irrelevant rigmarole of date of birth, etc, etc.

Call stating they were from Simply Energy re Gas bill wanting to speak to owner.
I had paid for Gas bill on time just 2 weeks earlier

Simply energy outstanding bill. Gas will be disconnected
